  1. How many fans does UW-M draw? A couple thousand? Does a stadium that holds 45,000+ need to be operated for that? College World Series, maybe. UWM vs. UWW/UWO/etc.? Probably not.
  2. My opinion: If you're going to play this and force people to watch it, 15 minutes is an awful long time to make people do something when they might rather be talking or at the bar. I think it's a good idea to song changes in unison with theme changes, but I would recommend shortening the songs. 5 seconds/picture is a pretty good length. I wouldn't go longer. You shouldn't need 45-50 pictures to tell a story. I think you can do it in half of that for a total of 75 pictures. Maybe 6-8 minutes total. Here's an additional idea. If you play it once during the meal or whenever, you can play it with sound. Later on, you can loop it without sound the rest of the night. Gives people something more to look at and they can see themselves in the pictures and converse about it. edit: I used Avid Liquid last year for my wedding slideshow. It gives some great pan and zoom controls and transitions. However, I'm sure these days you can use PowerPoint to do similar effects. Use whatever you're most comfortable with. You won't want to spend a lot of time learning something when you still have to plan a wedding. I think you should use songs that describe you. I would refrain from explicit lyrics. John Mellencamp - Small Town, for instance might be a good one.
  3. Nice letter. Interesting and impressive stats, as quoted earlier. Acknowledged the fans who chanted "Let's go Brewers" but felt snubbed when they didn't come out of the dugout to show their appreciation. Classy acknowledging Yost. Should make us feel appreciated and lucky to have him as our owner. I would find it difficult for them to bump prices during the current economy. Maybe in a few locations, but not all around. Raising parking prices I can see though. It's $30 at Lambeau, I think, and more expensive at other venues. Yes, we have lots of parking, but it's still cheap in relation to other parks.
  4. The girl in front of my wife and I wearing one of those Prince foam crowns that sticks up a foot above her head. She never took it off once. If the beer guys were selling manners, I would have bought her some. Regarding standing: If there's three random guys standing in the middle of the section when there's nothing happening at that moment...then yes, sit down. If there are two strikes on a batter, get excited and stand if you want to stand. It's the playoffs. It's supposed to be electric and loud. Another peeve: people going to the concessions / restrooms after every inning and having to move for them to come back to their seats when there's not a break in play. Once or twice, maybe. Every inning...not so much. These are reasons I like to sit in the front row of any section I can, high or low, no matter the game. It just makes it more enjoyable for me.
  5. Never scrolled down far enough. Thanks. 6. I can't seem to find a list of NLDS ticket prices. This would aide in my (and others') search for tickets and not paying way too much. Any help? (edited title to reflect that reply #3 has full playoff price information --1992)
  7. I've got a time machine for sale. It's broke though. It only goes forward at normal speed.
  8. Looking for 2 or 4 or 6 for Home Game One (10/4) only. I can buy or trade Packers tickets.
  9. I must say, I thought this thread was going to be more primitive. Buying wood (moulded or not), making your own cuts, staining & finishing, etc. But I do like this thread as it is as well. If I can put it together via items bought at Hobby Lobby for $30-40, then that sure as heck saves me a lot of time and effort. For custom items though that can't be pre-purchased, it might be nice if there were tips like where to buy wood moulding for frames and places that cut glass, etc. I thought Woodworkers Depot in Green Bay would be a good place for the wood moulding, but either I missed it or they don't have it. I was there looking around for something else at the time.
  10. My understanding is 100K per person, per bank. Joint accounts would be 200K. I wish I had that problem though.
  11. What about your own computer repair / consulting / web design business? You'll reap what you sow then.
  12. A reliever protecting any lead or to prevent the game from getting any farther away is important. 4-run lead, bottom of the ninth, 2 outs, nobody on...that would qualify as garbage time I would assume, but the outcome was not good. So at some point you would probably argue that when a couple runners got on, it's no longer garbage time. Well then the relievers should get credit when they preserve any lead or deficit, great or small, as well.
  13. Just found this today... Has anyone realized that's not a deer in the Rob Deer t-shirt? It's an elk...
  14. I agree he is owning up to his mistake, and that's a good thing. But if he was indeed shielded, he should not have been ruling it incomplete. Premature on the whistle. Same thing with DeSean Jackson dropping the ball before the end zone. Don't blow the whistle if it's close and you're not sure (although in this case the stupidity level caught everyone off guard). Someone will eventually recover the fumble after hearing no whistle. Then go back and decide what your call is going to be so you have a proper resolution when or if it's reviewed.
  15. I have four tickets I can't use for Sunday night's showdown. Face is $64/each. Section 112, halfway up the bowl. Ideally, I'd barter these for a nice set of golf clubs or just irons, depends on the brand. I would also consider Brewers items or just about anything you have that might interest a sports fan / outdoors guy / man in need of power tools to make garage more manly / etc...anything really. Anyone have any connections that would make this work out for both of us? Please PM me if you have any offers. I will likely wait until later in the week to sell these if I have to. I would also break these into 2 pairs if you only wanted two of them.
  16. I'm going to disagree slightly here. Spelling words correctly is extremely important, yes. Your writing style is equally as important, and spellcheck and templates can't help you there. Doesn't mean you have to go to a resume service. Just means you should get opinions from some people who handle resumes frequently or have knowledge of how they should be written. But even then, HR people/recruiters have different preferences. You can please some people some of the time, but you can please all people all of the time.
  17. Has anyone does anything interesting display-wise with these bat tubes from cardboardgold.com? http://us.st12.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/cardboardgold-store_2017_5772870 And BHF, I assume you've used carboardgold.com and are happy with the quality? I'm thinking I'll go more along the lines of this one: http://us.st12.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/cardboardgold-store_2017_9176033 http://www.cardboardgold.com/glbabatdicaw.html
  18. I sold my first preseason game tickets to a BF.netter, and I'm also selling these. They are $72/each face value. The Buy-It-Now is $60/pair for a savings of $84 under face value. Sec. 122, Row 47. Behind Packers' bench. Will leave at will-call for winner. http://cgi.ebay.com/2-AIS...ZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  19. FYI: willing to let go for a lot less than face value...anyone...anyone...I'm talking $50/pair.
  20. Section 119, Row 60. Between 45 & 50 yard line, opponent's sidelines. Face value is $72/ea. Willing to part with for less. Willing to accept trade offers for Brewers memorabilia (autos/bobbles/anything). Will also entertain offers for non-sports-related items. Surprise me. I can meet you near the atrium a couple hours before kickoff on Monday. I may be able to meet you Sunday if you live in the Green Bay/Fox Valley area. PM offers, please. Have a good one.
  21. I don't think a top 10 list includes any college players. Does your mom know PJ Hill, your wife or girlfriend, their friends...etc. My wife and her friends know the bigger Brewers and even more Packers (larger squad). They don't know squat about any college basketball or football players. I think because of the sheer amount of casual sports listeners out there, the college guys get bumped. Edit: And I'd probably say that some of the Packers are still ahead of the Brewers. But the gap is closing with more Brewers success. And with Aaron Rodgers being the second-most talked about player of the last month in all of sports across the country, he's probably at the top of the Wisconsin list.
  22. In honor of the start of X Games 14. Danny Way...last night...big air. And then there's last year's biff...Jake Brown...same contest.
  23. http://z.hubpages.com/u/137372_f520.jpg
  24. Bob Nelson, Green Bay Packers Nose Tackle. Easily 120+ sacks/season.
