  1. Counsell's bat has been great lately. He should be our everyday SS.
  2. Now usually it's not too hard to make out who signed a baseball, but I could not tell who signed that without reading your post. Nice work though on the auto.
  3. Yeah, I'd be pretty excited about that, too! (the Hartland figure, not the relative, obviously). And thanks, CBfan.
  4. Yes I remember him playing for the Foxes. He jacked one out the game I went to.
  5. NHL? What's that? I gotta use the john.
  6. I hope that I am part of the majority of people here who are going to opening day that will keep their eyes open for extra magnets. No guarantees, but hopefully someone comes across some abandoneds placed amongst the framework of Miller Park.
  7. Here's my apartment version of my bobblehead collection. Once I buy a house (this year, hopefully), I'm going to build some sort of shelving system protected by glass so I never have to dust again. (Or very rarely). And here's a little plug for the ones I want yet: Yount Coach Yount Rookie Blue Molitor Retro Miller Mr. 3000 Mini Weeks Mini Hall Mini Capuano All Bernie Birthday bobbles And a bunch of Minor League ones. I have plenty to trade. PM in interested. http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q44/halba_md/P3230012.jpg
  8. I've seen that bobble for sale on eBay for probably the last 3+ months. He/she won't be selling it if anyone takes a look at the picture before buying.
  9. Nice preliminary work on the bobblehead collection, CBFan, especially the two old ones. Is there a story behind them? Or did you buy them on eBay or something? Also, is the Yount figure in the back a McFarlane?
  10. Lovin' this thread.
  11. That's pretty sweet. Maybe it's my eyes or the perspective, but do the letter Ss look upside down to anyone else?
  12. Increase the light in the room or use a tripod. What's happening is there's not enough light in the room to get through the camera's aperture opening without using a slower shutter speed. Your camera tells itself that the shutter has to be open longer. Your hand cannot keep the camera still enough to get a clear picture. When your hand moves, you get the slight blurring effect that you see on a number of the pictures. You can solve this by keeping the light as it is and putting the camera on a tripod to keep it steady (or set it on a table/flat surface/etc) or by increasing the light in the room so that the shutter doesn't have to stay open so long. Hope this helps.
  13. Creating a price guide based upon winning bids on eBay auctions certainly has its flaws. Product titles, descriptions, buy-it-nows, etc. all affect the final price. I purchased a Mini Polish and a Mini Italian for $13 each about a year ago on eBay. The going rate is certainly more than that including these bobbles in an average including only a few other eBay sales of these bobbles would skew the results. If you were averaging sales over a full year and included results of 20+ auctions, you'd get a more accurate representation of the excessive highs and the very lows, so the prices would eventually average themselves out. This being said, I think BHF has at least a good start to a price guide on Brewers bobbles. With input from other people "in the know" and with increased sample sizes, it will become a better, more accurate representation of the worth of Brewers bobble heads.
  14. Pre-Brewers was bad pitching, too. No control, etc. Which is the same problem he had this past season.
  15. If it's everybody and their sister's idea to buy a PS3 and then sell it on eBay, then there won't as much profit as anticipated. I mean, I'm not a big video game guy, but seeing what happened with other consoles on eBay, I thought about doing the same thing just for the profit. How many more people will sell their PS3 this time than did the PS2? Since people saw it was a great idea, many more will do the same.
  16. A good portion of those are Chuck Norris ones with Bill Hall's name in his place. The best, in my opinion, are the ones that relate to baseball. Then you know they're authentic (and true, of course).
  17. Baseball officials unanimously voted to rename the sport from "baseball" to "billhall." Bill Hall once robbed a home run by simply telling the ball to stop flight. Bill Hall has warning track power when he squares around to bunt. Bill Hall once pitched a perfect game while playing center field. Bill Hall has been named the lone National League representative at the 2006 All Star Game.
