  1. Why isn't Branyan considered???
  2. Oakland selects Lance Broadway, rhp.
  3. How did I know I would sign on here and see a thread like this. Cameron has been the best CF in the majors this year until today. Give the guy a break. As for Gagne, who knows. I think it was worth the risk and I'm still not convinced he will be this bad the rest of the year.
  4. The choice would be between Garza and Hochever for me.
  5. I really hope part of the "Can Bill Hall Pitch" Thread made it up. Maybe they should put it up again to remind Billy how awesome he used to be. (hint, hint, hint brewers staff readers!)
  6. Brian Roberts inf 2 years/$14.3M (2008-09) signed extension 3/07 08:$6.3M, 09:$8M limited no-trade clause allowing Roberts to block deals to a small number of clubs each season
  7. hey frank! your collar is up! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  8. Not sure what i'll be sporting yet... but I'll be sure to look for the Brauny Retro. I sometimes answer to Zach... Z also tends to work.
  9. alright, still go then. I plan on being there around 7:30.
  10. Lame..... If there isn't any interest in this soon, I'm gonna back out as well.
  11. Q: John of Pittsburgh - I've only read a few dozen emails, but I must say to Anthony that you come off as an arrogant know-it-all, yet you don't even seem to have the reporting knack to find out how they clean the bleachers/seats at the park (a legit question). I'm fairly sure this won't make the mailbag, but you should know that this is the way you are seen to one outsider (Yes, still a Buccos fan after all the losing http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif ... sigh) I hope you can take this as simple constructive criticism and not a personal attack. Regards, JS A: Anthony Witrado - They wipe them with a towel, although it's not like I sit in the ballpark after games studying the fad of cleaning up after people. I'm too busy knowing everything. Q: Justin of Milwaukee - Anthony, you come off like an arogant prick with your responses. Valid questions are only met with sarcastic non-answers. Doesn't take much to be a Brewers beat writer, does it? A: Anthony Witrado - Usually not. I can't stand AW.
  12. http://baseballanalysts.com/archives/2008/06/brett_lawrie.php Here is a nice writeup and interview with Brett Lawrie... Newest Brewer.
  13. There are a lot of players available that I would still be very happy with the Brewers taking. Its nice having a deep draft. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  14. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/draft2008/news/story?id=3427340
  15. Matusz doesn't seem to have much upside, seems to be the safe pick at this point. I'm not sure I would be making that sort of pick if I were Baltimore. I would want to make more of a splash.
  16. How much value does Alvarez lose if he can't/doesn't play 3B? Keith Law mentioned he may be moved to 1B since he has a clear path to the majors at that position.
  17. MLB.com's draft tracker is not working........... ugh
  18. Other Notables OF Travis Buck (OAK #36) OF Jordan Schafer (ATL #107) 1B Steven Pearce (PIT #241)
  19. Anyone going other than me and ewizabeff??? I know a buddy of mine plans on coming (but he's a cubs fan........)
  20. Tell me this game is getting replayed later???
  21. You are just looking at his 90 AB from this year. I'm looking at his entire career. It's not surprising that we could come to completely opposite conclusions. As always, I hope Kapler continues to buck the odds. When he was signed, I was expecting a 4th/5th OF and defensive replacement that could PH vs. LHP. He has far exceded my expectations and am very happy about that. To think that wasn't a great signing when you have Counsell that can barely hit RHP making 3 Million a year is a little crazy.
  22. Kapler = God Sorry Russ, I'm not sure where you are coming from on that one. Great signing, I hope he's still here next year.
