  1. I have yet to find any defensive statistic I can actually endorse.
  2. Hart is adequate though his arm is too weak for RF in my opinion. I thought Hart had the best arm in the OF?
  3. He will undoubtedly surpass those this year. It is way to early to say "undoubtedly" about anything. As for who I would take as of right now, age and salary not included, I would take Fielder. If we take their stats over the last year, they are very similar offensively. Prince is getting better in the field. I also feel like he has a much higher ceiling. I love Berkman, the NL central is stacked with studs at 1B, but right now my pecking order is Pujols, Fielder, Lee, Berkman, Votto, LaRoche.
  4. Rickie played well today.
  5. I care that my team has lost too many games lately. You should too. Oh believe me, we care. We just care about why they are losing as well.
  6. Not sure how much we can look into it, but as a team the Cubs BABIP is .322, the Brewers is .276. also, Geovany Soto's BABIP is .410, that's insane!
  7. As has been said already. One of the worst articles i've ever seen.
  8. and there goes anything productive I had planned for the day
  9. Sounds about time to invest in another Softball Bat. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  10. I will be there Wednesday... this is my first sporting event outside of the state of Wisconsin. I'm very excited.
  11. ok, thanks guys... i'll probably head over to a golf store this weekend.
  12. my wife plays 3rd for our team, she has a better arm(acurate) then i do, which is why i have played 1st for the last 20 years of baseball and softball, but then again i can do the splits and she can't. She also is a dead pull hitter. I agree that 3rd, 2nd. We also put them in the gap so that the other fielders can cover her. Do you do the splits better than she does too. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  13. I am thinking about buying a new set of golf clubs. I've always bought used and was wondering if anyone out there had an opinion on the value on a new set. I don't know very much about how the brands differ, so any input is very much appreciated.
  14. I'm not looking at just this season. He has been a Brewer for 3+ years and we are getting a decent idea of what he is turning into. I know he's been injured, but that has to be taken into account. I'm not saying I wouldn't want to resign him, in fact I would love to have him for 5+ more years. I'm just curious to know what approach we should take with him and if there are others who feel like maybe his time with this team is running short. What would it take to keep him as a Brewer? How much would you offer Weeks to buy out a few years of his FA? How do other teams view his value? What would they give for him? This is where I see this thread going. I'm hoping to avoid the "we need to wait through this season" answer. How about what you would do if he is successful, or if he is average, or if he gets hurt?
  15. My argument for Hardy over Weeks is that Hardy seems to fit the role of a middle infielder more than Weeks does, he is servicable at the plate and plays excellent defense. If we are going to build this team around Hart, Braun, Prince, Laporta?, we need players that can play the field, we will have plenty of mash in the lineup.
  16. Didn't we just have a thread that discussed Weeks future with the team and that discussed whether he was a bust? I could be mistaken. I don't think this thread is headed that direction. I for one am not calling weeks a "bust", but because he hasn't lived up to his lofty expectations, it makes him very difficult to analyze. We all know he has great ability, its just a matter of how much do you want to keep him around to see where his skill takes him. Do you want him here after his arby years or not? There will be some mixed opinion on this subject.
  17. We aren't on pace for 100 wins!!!
  18. Is it just assumed that the Brewers have done an MRI or whatever is necessary to investigate further/serious concerns on the shoulder/area? That's the assumption I'm making. It is Sheets, I think the Brewers are going to check every possible cause of soreness ever imagined.
  19. we don't really have a lead off man to replace him, Corey Hart would be the only option I could see at this point. Too bad Jenkins isn't around anymore, I heard he's now an option in the leadoff position.
  20. Once Cameron returns, what consideration should be given to this lineup? Hart Cameron Braun Fielder Hall Weeks Hardy Pitcher Kendall Maybe even go Hardy, Kendall, Pitcher, Weeks?
  21. I know that Weeks can be a productive player for this team as a leadoff hitter for the next few years, I guess I just see him coming up through his Arby years and think, do we offer this guy a Bill Hall type deal? Not in value, but in buying out some years of his FA. He hasn't been what we thought we were getting and I'm sure he's looking at these reports of offers to Braun and Fielder and he's wondering when he is going to "get his." What kind of a contract is he looking at? Weeks to me is the most difficult player to project, both production-wise and what some team may be willing to trade for him/pay him in FA.
  22. Braun is no Man Ram, Joba Chamberlain, Pappelbon, Zambrano, Barry Bonds, or Sammy Sosa. I agree with what has been said... I see it as swagger, not cockiness. I sure am glad he's on our team though, if he were a cub, I'm sure I'd hate him a ton. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  23. I can't say this from my perspective, but I've heard Escobar has better range than Hardy. That would be a heck of a MI combo and would be fun to watch DPs.
  24. Escobar is no where close to being ready at the major league level to hit. I'm not saying this year. He is playing for a contract right now, I'm guess I'm trying to see what people see in him as a player over the next 2, 3, or 4 years.
