  1. A: May 30th, 2008 7:14 CST.....but yeah too long. The team did really well tonight. We made some lineups adjustments, some changes in the field and the defense won this ballgame. The team is really starting to gel in the field.
  2. What a game. Brewerfan.net gets off the bubble in dramatic 7th inning fashion. Chuck with a 1-out rbi groundout to score Brent to tie the game, then Keegan with a rbi texas league single over the head of a diving second baseman to score Steve, the go-ahead run. Radman Matt worked around a two-out walk to seal the deal. Nice win guys.
  3. Rain looks too far to the south.
  4. Radman Matt was doing a fine job of getting them to fly out. We are both fly ball pitchers. Minus the stupid strike zone and some defensive errors on our part, we win that game.
  5. If time of game was :48, why didn't we play the 7th? Also, playing a softball game in 50 minutes is mentally challenging.
  6. I think clearly the focus has to shift to the Wild Card. Get this thing to .500 by Mid-June and hopefully 88 wins still. Not panicking, but the WC should be the focus right now.
  7. I vow to lead the team in BB pitched.
  8. Unfortunately looking at the standings and results. Don's Pub beat Whitehouse, Whitehouse beat us. Nuts
  9. Unfortunately looking at the standings. Don's Pub beat Whitehouse....Whitehouse beat us. :Sigh: Ahh...who cares. Let's go score another 16 and win.
  10. Fox6milwaukee.com "futurecast" hour by hour shows no more rain until overnight hours. Just wondering if it poured hard enough to leave puddles.
  11. just got up from a nap. did it rain too hard or are we good to go?
  12. In...Rad, also note that my Dad and Chris will both be available as street free agents should the need arise.
  13. Really...You are happy with .265? I thought this #2 overall pick was supposed to be a 5-tool player. Certainly hitting .265 doesn't satisfy that tool.
  14. So, if Rickie Weeks is hitting .320/.410, Prince drives in more runs in the cleanup spot, Gallardo is healthy and has 6 wins and the bullpen doesnt account for a bunch of losses, this team is closer to 28-20 and we probably aren't having this discussion. Again, is Yost the right guy to lead this team to a Championship? No, probably not. But once, just once, I would like this talent to do what it is supposed to do, so he can have a fair shake. (edit: pared back long quote --1992)
  15. I have no problem with that. I have a problem with making a change to suffice bandwagon fans. (edit: pared back long quote --1992)
  16. So why do we need a managerial change to keep their interest?
  17. I'm glad you make a distinction between casual fans and diehard fans. I also did that, but I replace Casual with bandwagon. When things are going good, they are at the ballpark... when Rickie Weeks hits .196, the cleanup hitter sits at 6 dingers, the closer blows 8 games, the #2 starting pitcher is lost for the year, suddenly the manager must be fired, or I'm gonna lose my interest, stomp my feet, and find some other way to spend my summer nights. Boo Hoo. However, attendance is already high, near 70-80% of capacity future game. I dont think that firing Ned Yost is going to sell out every game from here to October. Only winning will do that. For that to happen, the players need to produce on the field. Why should we fire the manager before this homestand to suffice the bandwagon fan, or excuse me, casual fan? Because trust me, once that casual fan has his BAL up over .12 and Torres blows a save, it won't matter who's name is on that manager's door. That drunk casual fan will stand up and boo to his heart's content. Sure, we all deserve a winning product on the field. However, not to suffice the casual fan.
  18. Did you even read the previous post(s)? Let Yost take the fall now and keep the fans interest at least. I'd think they would back this team under the guise of 'new leadership' or rebuilding for a year.. Can't keep in interest in the team because of the name on the manager's door? Especially 50 games into a 162 game season? I believe that is how Webster's defines "bandwagon".
  19. Come back to Earth a bit here. There are a bunch of inaccurate statements in this thread, I dont know where to start. First of all, I dont think a majority of "the fans" will start booing at every little thing that goes wrong. There are certainly some fickle fans out there, but not enough to allow the "young team" to get angry at themselves. Secondly, since when is this team "young"? I thought they were ranked 18th out of 30 in terms of age? Thirdly, I'd like to think that not a majority of fans are so bandwagon that a poor homestand would not allow them to keep their interest....especially since it's only May. The name on the manager's door after the homestand, I dont think will turn away a fanbase. Smart fans realize this team is only 3.5 games off of last year's pace.
  20. I do some silk screen on the side. Cheap job, Decent Quality. Can show samples if you wish. I dont do hats however.
  21. Started a thread, Dyer. But Chris & I will go anywhere if it is closer for the majority.
  22. @ Dyer Field again Saturday Morning. 11am or so. Come Late, Come All, get some work in if you can. Confirmed Luke Nick Houlie Nullbyte RightoMac Steve ValpoMatt Maybe? Kenny CrazyK
