But they're most likely not moving on, even with a win. Unless you mean to the Rose Bowl. Everyone knows the long odds. It's been beat to death for weeks. I'm saying that I think this fuels how good quarterfinals could be for the game.
Well, this is basically his team. All his players, his system. They probably haven't even cleaned out his office there yet. That's fine, but he's not employed by OSU in this capacity, is he? Employed by Fox Sports, no?
But their 3 pt defense sucks...I guess?? Seriously though - this is pretty damn impressive, even if it is just an early December regular season game. I'm not even sure their 3pt defense "sucks". My consistent take since Bud has been coach is that watching their 3pt defense is unbearable and often I follow on gamecast even when I can get the game here in Utah. I can't watch them chase out after the shooter after the ball's left their hands possession after possession. Aggravating. I predicted last season that the season would end to a hot 3pt shooter and that was pretty much the case with that schmuck VanVleet. Sadly, if they can't shore it up when it matters, I feel 2020 will end the same way if an opponent is willing to jack em up. :shrugs: It sucks because a team getting hot on 3s because you basically let them ends up winning despite how much better Milwaukee is on paper.
I can't watch this team play 3pt "defense" anymore. I'll just read about it on JSOnline when some team "gets hot" against them in late May and their season is over.
As a Salt Lake resident, I'm itching for whatever scenario gets me a Wisconsin-Utah Rose Bowl. Seems Utah's path is clear...Beat Oregon but not good enough to make the CFP. If Wisconsin beats Minn, but gets "throttled" by OSU...would Penn State likely get the Rose Bowl nod?
I agree. There is no telling whether "going fast" would have resulted in points at all. Could be 3-n-out if they try and go quick. Just never know. One can not deduce the future with different variables.
Just punt on 3rd down and save me two more minutes to fetch the liquor from the cabinet. Maybe they atleast give up a stupid foul on defense for a gift first down. :shrugs:
I feel like our punt returns are re-runs of some bad comedy. Catch the ball without an unblocked defender within 15 yds....stutter-step...run 4 yds sideways and get tackled.
91% before the game, though I reckon there are a few differing metrics to the calculation? http://www.playoffstatus.com/nfl/packersstandings.html I don't know what LAR losing means for the calculator...but the best case scenario seems to include the Vikings losing. They are at 96% alone with their win vs the Panthers. A Vikings loss puts it at 97% http://www.playoffstatus.com/nfl/packerswhatif.html
That’s all I was thinking on that last drive. It simply can't be assumed that everything plays out the exact same in the second half. Different deficits, different game plans, everything. It's like in baseball when a guy gets caught stealing to end an inning and then the guy at the plate leads off the next inning with a HR and people are upset. But you just don't know how it might have played out differently.
Spot on. It's better to overachieve and enjoy more moments over the entire body of work. They can 14-2 and get blasted at home in the divisional round and it won't sap an ounce of joy from where they should have been when you looked at things on June 1.
