  1. Defense/Special Teams should gift the offense at least 3 there.
  2. 100% spot on! I sit on my couch and have damn near called the plays and subsequent results on 85 to 90 percent of the plays, including the sacks, before the snap. The only exception was the 27yd jet sweep and the 3rd down conversion to Cephus.
  3. Get the ball at the 25 after a fair catch on the 6? That's a rule I never knew about. I knew the rule but I don't understand the decision. An opportunity to make an impact play and instead you call for a fair catch without a defender within 20yds of you. :Shrugs: Coaching mentality rubbing off on these kids.
  4. I don't believe a Coan led offense is going to put up any points today.
  5. Guess that means no College Gameday then? Isn't that always the primetime game?
  6. Let me rephrase...I guess I just want going to the Rose Bowl to be an, "at worst" and "guaranteed" thing if our only blemishes are OSU and B1G CG. I'd rather take Rose Bowl right now than some 10% chance at making the playoffs. I just feel like we could lose at OSU and lose again in B1G CG, while OSU stumbles against Michigan or somebody else -they miss the playoffs, OSU gets the Rose Bowl and Wisconsin is playing in some Outback Bowl somewhere on New Years Day.
  7. Is there something wrong with me that I want OSU to go to the playoffs and we take the Rose Bowl?
  8. I like the option, in case of the over the top missed call in the NFCCG last season, however coaches need to have better discretion of when to use it. It must be 100% clear and compelling. Very rare that you will see one of those missed.
  9. Wouldn't the California schools be banned from bowl games/NCAA tournament? Or at least any players that took money. This is a California law. It has no bearing on the NCAA rules. I'm more interested in dialogue on Alvarez's position not to play schools from or in California and it's impact on bowl games and tournaments. Thoughts?
  10. https://www.wisn.com/article/badgers-athletic-director-wont-schedule-california-teams-after-new-law/29313166?fbclid=IwAR1_VysETvM382UZaMhlFV5hGrjz2VEP0TEBWojTGMXZ-toGXbODps1Lhxk This article is about 9 days old, but I haven't seen any specific discussion here on it, but forgive me if I missed it. At face value, I'll be honest that I don't quite understand the nuances of the law, but I don't like Mr. Alvarez's staunch line in the sand here. Wouldn't this affect Wisconsin Football from playing in the Rose Bowl or other bowl games? Seemingly, players could then be paid for appearances out there or other marketing efforts for those games? Could this affect Wisconsin Basketball from playing in NCAA tournament games, including any Final Fours held out there because the Athletic Director or the University is afraid to compensate players for things done in California? I'm just concerned that players would earn opportunities to play in a Rose Bowl and they decline to go over this matter. I understand the article to mean that Alvarez won't book any games with California schools...but if an invite to play UCLA or USC in the Rose Bowl happens...or heck, even Utah in California, what's the difference?
  11. I agree. Pre-season, if we could get through MLF's first five games at 2-3, I would have been tickled. Instead it's 4-1 and they could have been 5-0 with a few breaks against Philly. They still get detroit twice, the Raiders, giants, redskins, bears at home, which I think they will be favored in all of those. Panthers at home and Niners after a bye. I think 10 wins, an NFC North Title and a home playoff game aren't out of the question.
  12. 2:25 mountain to 5:50...sitting at 3:25, no? In a shootout with 60+ points? 4 hours seems hyperbole
  13. As long as Brandon Bostick isn't rostered, we should be good to go.
  14. Why was Z-Smith not out of pads when this game was 31-3 ?
  15. Cant let them score before 2:00 warning. Just cant
  16. Looks like a team playing not to lose
  17. To be clear, I asked when is he subbed for defense. His arm is terrible and he should be subbed. A two-out double doesnt change my opinion.
  18. Wait, Pugger is female? Mind BLOWN! No offense meant and I don't know pugger, but "husband" is no longer a male term. I've seen female/female relationship use "husband" to refer to their significant other.
