  1. wow. 2nd and inches was huge instead of 1st down.
  2. I honestly think 35yd drive would do it.
  3. If Hitchens doesn't make that tackle, Jones takes that to the house 98yds.
  4. 3rd and 8...12 yard cushion. Genius!
  5. This Chiefs defense may be equally as bad.
  6. "500yds allowed don't matter if you get a timely sack and turnover on the regular" ~~ Somebody I used to know
  7. 3rd and 6...play a 10yd cushion. Genius!
  8. Prevent defense up 14 will do that to you.
  9. Yeah, I'll say. Woof! It got disjointed when Graham didn't get out of bounds. Should have taken a TO there. Honestly, it almost looked as if GB was trying to run out the clock without kneeling and without being obvious about it. Content at 17-14. As if they didn't want to go 3 and out and give KC the ball with 35 ticks left.
  10. Be very careful criticizing scheme in these parts. It's largely moot. If on paper a team is more talented, they will win regardless of what the scheme or culture is.
  11. Careful. I've been told not to question it because all those yards are from garbage time. I know right!?!? A turd is still a turd whether it's on bare dirt or a golf course fairway.
  12. The talent gap is too much to overcome in this matchup.
  13. I was thinking that myself.
  14. This defense is still an embarrassment more often than not.
  15. Just looked. No Ohio State or Penn State on the schedule in 2020. Though there is the potential of a tough stretch early in the year against App State, at Michigan, Minnesota, and neutral site Notre Dame. No Ohio State in 2021 either. 2022 we go back there in what could be Mertz' senior year? Weird that the series didn't rotate back to Madison?
  16. That's what gives me a glimmer of hope. Maybe, just maybe he tries to play within the limited tools of a Hornibrook or Coan. I can only hope.
  17. That's unfortunate.
  18. Regardless of surrounding talent, Wisconsin needs a different scheme and culture on offense, and probably more dynamic QB play if they are going to beat OSU. I don't expect Chryst to ever provide that and I got what I expected yesterday out of Coan. We have a real opportunity the next 3 years with Mertz...though I don't know that OSU is on the schedule. I sure hope Chryst can get out of box and harness talent like Bielema did the one year he had R. Wilson. That will be what allows UW to make a playoff run, not recruiting better than OSU.
  19. No need for Blue. Chryst failed to figure it out and adjust. The offensive scheme got us to the red zone, what? Once?
  20. Yawn, but continues to promote Nike with each time he types Nike.
  21. Even the football knows when there is a talent gap in the center who's holding it.
  22. Is it me or when a Badger runner encounters a defender 1-on-1, they go sideways...when a Buckeye runner encounters a defender 1-on-1, they run forward?
  23. It's not a talent problem or a recruiting problem. At every level of athletics (middle school, high school, college...) - leadership, mentality, culture, planning, and execution can and often does overcome marginal differences in talent. Illinois probably has a talent gap and recruiting gap to Wisconsin, yet why did they win? Leadership, mentality, and execution. Wisconsin has reached it's ceiling with the leadership and culture of Paul Chryst. I for one, am fine with it, but blaming it on a talent gap is laughable.
  24. #CircleButton #Embarrased
  25. That drive was so predictable
