  1. Yeah, I had it in there...Pittsburg
  2. 1 vs CHI(N) (Samardjiza vs Lohse) (0-1) 2 vs MIN (Garza vs Gibson) (Gallardo vs DeDuno) (2-0) 2 @ MIN (Estrada vs Nolasco) (Peralta vs Correia) (1-1) 3 @ PIT (Lohse vs Crumpton) (Garza vs Volquez) (Gallardo vs Morton) (2-0 w/ rainout) 3 @ NYM (Estrada vs Matsuzaka) (Peralta vs deGrom) (Lohse vs Niese) (1-2) 3 vs CIN (Garza vs Bailey) (Gallardo vs Cingrani) (Estrada vs Leake) (1-2) 4 @ ARIZ (Peralta vs McCarthy) (Loshe vs Miley) (Garza vs Anderson) (Gallardo vs Collmenter) (2-2) 3 @ COL (Estrada vs Lyles) (Peralta vs Nicasio) (Lohse vs Morales) (2-1) 3 vs WASH (Garza vs Fister) (Gallardo vs Roark) (Estrada vs Zimmermann) (1-2) 4 vs COL (Peralta vs Nicasio) (Lohse vs Morales) (Garza vs Chacin) (Gallardo vs De La Rosa) (2-2) 13 home 15 away 28 TOTAL 14-13 STL has a tough NL West Road Trip and games against Toronto, Washington, etc. I think they get 12 wins and the Brewers increase the lead by 2 games heading into July.
  3. Wouldn't it be something if during an extra inning game, "due to a double switch, Wang has been put into the number two hole." I'd pay good money just to hear Brian Anderson or Uecker say it with a straight face.
  4. ~~~ Again ~~~ It feels like I'm repeating myself, but the only ways Wang can be off Milwaukee's 25-man roster: 1) He is waived and claimed by another club. 2) He is traded to any club, however that club MUST keep Wang on their own 25man roster. 3) He is waived and not claimed by another club and Pittsburg takes him back for $25k, placing him into their own minor league system. 4) He is waived, not taken by another club & Pittsburg declines to take him back for the measley 25k and instead allows Milwaukee to keep him in exchange for something else of value. 5) He is placed on the 15day or 60day DL. However, he would need 90 days of service time on the active roster over two years if placed on the DL. He has 63 days already.

  6. Or just have the highest waiver priority and wait for the Brewers to dump him without giving up any talent.
  7. The season is exactly 1/3rd over and we are at a 96win pace. Also, as bad as the month of May played out, we still have a shot at a .500 month with two wins over the Cubbies. I don't know that I can EVER complain about a .500 month.
  8. If a 22yr old finishes college and is drafted, his development is the same as Wang. 23yrd old at Brevard then Huntsville likely. Remember, it's not like Wang picked up a ball for the first time just last year. He's been developing like a college pitcher has, just over in Taiwan. He's not being put behind any curve by his situation this year. In fact, he threw another side session to Aramis Ramirez the other day. He is getting work and developing, just not in MLB games.
  9. Does anybody allow inherited runners to score like Kintzler? I've been saying forever that he should be the 5th inning guy. He's my most disappointing Brewer in 2014.
  10. For some inexplicable reason, Roenicke likes Kintzler when the game is on the line. I'd put money on Kintzler getting a shot at being an everyday closer before Will Smith.
  11. Anybody else use MLB.tv and constantly have to close the browser and re-open the damn thing because it stalls? Son of a biscuit maker!
  12. One reason I don't think these things cost the Brewers the playoffs is because I believe the Brewers are much closer to the 2 games under.500 pace that they've played minus the 9 game winning streak.
  13. Been mashing triples and doubles left and right. Driving in runners and his SLG is way up. I'm not concerned.
  14. Hence, nearly unheard of rather than unchartered territory. Of the 50+ centerfielders that start primarily at CF over a given year for the 30 MLB clubs, I'd say 3% of them post big power numbers in the range of 40 home runs a year.
  15. Don't want to start a thread on it, but does anybody think that perhaps Gomez is "performance enhanced"? Popular amongst Dominican boys and he is on pace for 35-40 this year. Nearly unheard of out of the CF position. Just curious. I'm not trying to start a rumor, so much as when you see anybody connecting with new found power, it seems I always step back now and go "hmmmm".
  16. It is reasonable to think that it doesn't happen. We simply don't know. But again, I've yet to see a single media report that retracts a report of a player being put on the DL. If the player's union had such a vested interest, they'd make darn sure the media got a hold of the story and ran with it. In this instance, there is nothing negative to the players collective bargaining interests in having two guys getting MLB contracts simultaneously as opposed to just Wang. The only potential loser in the deal is the Pirates and I don't see them running around having a fit if Wang goes to the DL with some sort of fatigue. When is the last time he pitched a full season in baseball? 2010? That's not to say that Wang has been overworked this season, I just don't see it being a huge red flag if he develops something worthy of going on the DL. Players get pricked by a cactus and supposedly can't play for weeks on end. I don't see Wang's known situation causing the injury police to come running. I fully disclose that I could be wrong. They could end up hiring Samuel Dash for all I know.
  17. I'm already primed for the Memorial day hats to be tomorrow's reason. A team can't expect to make the playoffs when they trot out there with stiff, unbroken in equipment.
  18. Falu had a nice line in about 100 PA's for KC to end 2012. .341/.371/.435 Playing pretty well at Nashville, most notably 14 BB to 8K over 150 PA's. I didn't think Falu was on the 40man, so I guess he takes Bianchi's 40man slot?
  19. At this rate, Nelson won't go long enough to qualify for the win. I would love to see Wang for 3 innings, get the save!
  20. Eh. It was meant in fun. And to poke the bellies of posts that start, "Playoff teams don't do XYZ" or "This could make us miss the playoffs..." That's the crux of jumping out to a 13 over .500 pace. Suddenly everyone is hanging on every pitch, every decision, every roster move, etc because the playoffs are in focus on May 15th.
  21. I've searched high and low and can't find a single instance where the DL form submitted by the doctor has been rejected by the Office of the Commissioner of MLB. I can't find a single instance where medical investigators were summoned to the city of a ballclub to conduct an evaluation of a player to deem them fit for the DL. If it happens, then by gosh, I'm wrong. I don't see any negative to the Brewers placing Wang on the 15-day DL with general fatigue if they feel they need a different long man in the pen for those games they are losing and need innings.
