  1. Winning, I forgot what this feels like! Great job by Sheets to shut them down for 5 innings after the rough first, and good job by the offense to stay within themselves and put together some good AB's!
  2. Haha, I've done stuff like that too. I changed my avatar and went way outside of the box. I actually wore a rally cap today which I rarely do. Maybe I should take the Cordero picture off of my phone and see if that helps. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  3. Sign me up. At this point, I'd gladly pee my pants for us scoring a run without hitting a homer and actually winning a game.
  4. We at one point were 15 games above .500, now we are 5 games above. This team looks very much like the team at the end of 2006 which couldn't buy a RISP hit. I know this has been a tough stretch and we couldn't be expected to play as well as we had all year, but these last few weeks have been really frustrating. We are not manufacturing runs at all and we're taking home run hacks at horrible pitches.
  5. I want the 2005-2006 Bill Hall back. Gross, Hart, and Gwynn for the 9th would be my guess. I hope we can get a run.
  6. My guess is yes, considering the game is on FSN. I don't have any confirmation on that, though. I second winning today. It would be nice to see Capuano get back on track. I changed my avatar for fresh home mojo. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  7. Other than Monday, we've done hardly anything right on this road trip.
  8. Nice start boys. Yes, I was obligatorily required to say that.
  9. Doh got beat with the lineup by mere moments! What did Corey Hart do to Ned Yost to hardly ever get to play? lol
  10. While I realize it is too early to push the panic button, going 4-11 in this stretch is pretty disheartening. We are relying too much on HR's and have been pretty much terrible with runners in scoring position. I am hoping things turn around, but it has been a rough stretch.
  11. I predict that if In Play, Out(s) starts over Braun tomorrow, this thread goes to total anarchy. That said, for some reason with Braun coming up I feel a bit better about our chances this weekend, lol.
  12. Ned probably figured we'd need to play small ball considering Penny hasn't given up a HR this year and the line on him for years has been he doesn't like to come inside much (I remember Bill and Daron harping on this for about 8 innings as Penny killed us a couple years ago). Gwynn is definitely a small ball guy. This is another frustrating game in the past two weeks of frustrating games. Unless Corey Hart can move back to third base without committing 25 errors or Gabe Gross can bat 7 times and get a hit all 7 times, even with runners in scoring position, the Gwynn-Gross-Hart argument is fairly useless at this point. We just need more consistency overall, one guy isn't going to do that, it has to be a team thing.
  13. At this point it is Jenkins or bust. Come on Geoff.
  14. We've got the guys we want up in the 8th. Lets get a run, or two, or six, whatever. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  15. Aces don't get blisters, this is why Sheets isn't an ace. Who do we see here, CV the younger? Spurling? Please no Homer Me Elmer.
  16. Well, that makes the decision to keep Sheets in easy. Thanks In Play, Out(s).
  17. Weeks, 2B Hardy, SS Fielder, 1B Hall, CF Estrada, C Mench, LF Hart, RF Graffanino, 3B Sheets, P is the lineup posted on gameday.
  18. Wolf is going to get a large serving of Menchies tomorrow. Hopefully Sheets will have his good stuff and we can get a W. Every time we play in LA I have flashbacks of the words vestibular neuritis. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  19. http://www.thablingster.com/pics/hoistingthefork.png Good job, prince! Also, way to blow the save opportunity, lol.
  20. Indeed it was, but it still is a testament to the badness of the Nationals. lol
  21. The Nationals are bad enough to blow a 6-0 lead and lose 8-7. They were also fairly neutralized for 4 innings by Victor Santos after tagging Bronson Arroyo.
  22. Those insurance runs are sure looking nice right about now, lol.
  23. Gap power is good enough for me when the guy can fly, lol. It is nice we're still doing well even though J.J. has an 0-fer tonight. How was this not #1? hahaha
  24. There is that doubles power people have been complaining about, lol.
