  1. McGehee on deck instead of Tony Plush. Hmm. Work that walk, George.
  2. The quarter closed roof must work, as evidenced by the home run Braun just hit.
  3. Kotsay moves about as well as John Vander Wal did when he was a Brewer. Man.
  4. I'd say Prince is heating up, but I think we've passed the point of heating up. En fuego!
  5. Are they CGI'ing the blue and gold into that M on the mound? I think they are. edit: Maybe not, it's still there even on the partial side view.
  6. Yostian B-squad lineup on a Sunday. Go get that series win, Yo. I wish I was at the game, especially since the roof is open.
  7. Counsell is 0-4, 2K, BB vs Marmol, Gomez was just 0-2, Kotsay was 0-0 with a BB. Way too small of samples to indicate anything, it would be moreso based on their career norms. RR had Mitre up in the 9th, but let Braddock face Byrd, who drove in an important insurance run. Braddock is a capable pitcher, but RR has been kind of weird about match up pitching so far.
  8. I was at the game tonight as well. The crowd sounded about 50/50 as far as Brewers vs. Cubs fans, but I'm guessing there were more Brewers fans and the Cub supporters were just more vocal. In regards to the 9th inning, once RR decided to pinch hit with Kotsay (sigh... where are the days that we had a brooding bat on our bench simply to swing for the fences? We've gotta have one of those guys somewhere in our system if we insist on using a "power bat" in that situation), would it have been such a bad idea to pinch hit Counsell for Gomez? It likely would have hurt Gomez's confidence, but a RHB prone to strikeouts against a RHP with a career K/9 of 11.7 is a terrible match up. At that point the best we could hope for is a guy to get on base for Braun and Counsell likely provides the best option for that, even considering that Marmol's about even vs. RHB and LHB. Eh, it is what it is. Go get 'em tomorrow, Narvdog.
  9. The Truth and hawing get their wish as T-Plush starts in RF and Kottaras starts behind the plate. I'll be out at the ballpark tonight root, root, rooting for the Brewers. Hopefully Randy Wolf can keep the string of good starts going by our starters and we can get on the board early against Z.
  10. That audio was a fun listen, thanks. Tony Plush is awesome. How hilarious would it be to get a "T-Plush" chant going sometime?
  11. A true gentleman doesn't run up the score. It's okay, Tony. Just get 'em on defense.
  12. Tony Plush is human. Here comes the Almonte vs. a LHP, Atlanta counters with a RHP, RR counters with Counsell move, again.
  13. Tony Plush knows doubles. Gotta love the plushdamentals being shown so far by the gentleman.
  14. Hopefully Hanson doesn't drill Braun in the elbow again like he did last year. McCalvy tweeted Braun did a small fist pump as the ball went out.
  15. Estrada did a nice job tonight. Sets up the bullpen nicely for Marcum tomorrow, even though hopefully we won't need too many outs from the bullpen. It would be nice to take three, but having the split secured is a good feeling.
  16. Pure Plushdamentals right there. Hit the ball where it's pitched. An insurance run would be huge here.
  17. They've been playing with fire all season having a LHP up in the bullpen, yet not bringing him in to face a LHB. This time it potentially costs them three runs. Estrada settled down and has been pitching well, though, so I guess you can't second guess too much.
  18. McCalvy just tweeted Kintzler was optioned to AAA after tonight's game, so it might not be Mitre after all.
  19. Great pitching job by Gallardo. It's nice to get that first win. Keep it going with Johnny Wholestaff tomorrow!
  20. Aggressive base running fail. Two outs at the plate in the same inning. This feels like a basketball game where no matter what the shot is and how close to the basket you are, the ball won't go in the hoop.
  21. Walking Braun to face Fielder, you don't see that all too often. Hopefully Prince can respond.
