  1. If you think about it, the Twins have hit alot of hard balls. Capuano does not have it tonight and hopefully we can keep them at bay. We can hit this guy if we get him on the ropes.
  2. The ump really hosed us. Still, Cappy looking awful that inning. I hate the order with those two scrappers on the bottom and Bill Hall struggling.
  3. This is totally a move for Capellan to replace Dessens in about a month.
  4. Exactly, what do they have to hide?
  5. The Phillies wanted nothing to do with Sheets. they are begging for Turnbow.
  6. I would take Gross .100 average against that poor lefty than this matchup with Mench. Mench has done nothing at all lately. Let's hope he is due.
  7. I was fishy about this injury since day one when I started this thread. I'm not saying there was a "conspiracy" here, but I sense they were sugarcoating this injury quite a bit. Knock on wood-if this is serious and he misses more than a couple more weeks, I will say that either this WAS a cover-up or the training staff is awful. Pick your poison. This really hurts now if rickie needs to go on the DL.
  8. Sheets looking like a number 1 so far. What do we do now if we don't score again? Sheets is at 102 pitchers. Do you pitch him another inning or roll the dice with a mentally fragile Turnbow? I say let your ace take the bump!
  9. Why is Cordero not getting an inning here?
  10. First of all, I can be pretty negative. But don't say that we cannot make the playoffs. Hopefully, these experiences will help us become a better team in te long run. Today, we have reached bottom. The only place for this team to go is up. I am still POd about that game on Monday though. God, I just hope that TBOW does not ruin two seasons in a row. If we would have won that game, everything would have been different.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  11. I was right again. Anyway, as bad as I felt about tonight, I feel as good about tomorrow.
  12. For all those that poo-pood the loss on Monday as not being a big one, I wonder what you think now. With young teams, losses like that can carry over and pressing usually starts. That is why they are not suddenly being as patient. It does not ever help when Mench is in there with his 1 walk on the season. I am getting fed up with him. He has been worthless the last three weeks against mostly lefties-whom he is supposed to mash. I have zero confidence they will win today. They will break the streak tomorrow with Sheets and hopefully get back on track at home.
  13. No, this does not hurt as much as yesterday, but it makes me get even more angry about giving that one away.
  14. I never had confidence in him. Anyone who thinks he can close for us after this year is sorely mistaken. He can be pretty successful as strictly an 8th inning guy...no more.
  15. TBLOW AGAIN! One day gets a pass...two days get no such pass!
  16. This is very gutsy keeping TBOW in. Personally, I would not do it. At least have someone ready in the pen.
  17. Let's see how this team bounces back. This is where I respect Yost as a manager. I believe he will learn from these mistakes and be a better manager because of it. For the record, I have never asked for Yost's head. He does a good job overall and will get the bullpen right before it is all said and done. Big game tomorrow. I am already fired up about it. Good Day
  18. I think most of us realize that the Brewers will lose. It is just how you lose that makes some of the critics get off the chair. The Brewers and Yost blew todays game-both have accountability. I just dont understand people saying it is one game. It is, but so was yesterdays game. That game had 4 pages of posts because we got our butts kicked and it was easy to handle. today we have 16 pages and counting and about 10 since the implosion that indicates the fact that the Brewers just gave away a game and that with this team that it is truly unacceptable. Games that are given away are the ones remembered and cost people jobs. I am not comparing this to a playoff game, but look at the games that were given away-Buckner, Pedro too long, and Bartman are prime examples. Some losses are unacceptable and this qualifies as one.
  19. That's funny you beheaded Yost. I beheaded Turnbow last year.
  20. I understand that the Brewers will lose games and I am OK with that as long as they just dont GIVE them away. This definitely fits in the GIVEaway department. We could be stepping on the Cubs necks even more right now, but we are not. You do not get those opps. much.
  21. I liked that they pulled Bush early and Yost learned from keeping him in too long on a couple occasions. Now I hope that all games that our pitchers are rested and the lead is 5 runs or less, that we pitch TBow in the 8th and Cordero in the 9th.
  22. Hurricane... Sorry, but the formula of using TBOW in the 8th to start has worked every single time. Why go against a winning formula?
  23. Definitely TBOW and Shouse lost the game. However, Yost did not help. Hopefully, He will learn from this mistake and NEVER let it happen again. A big mistake also by Yost was Keeping in TBOW 3 extra hitters. I was counting my bet money from my Cub buddy on Bush VS Rich Hill in total victories and I got tbowed and Yosted.
