  1. There have been some bad text the booth questions, but that may gave been the worst... Anyone else see that?
  2. After an eleven pitch at bat, Laynce Nix just walked to score a run... 7-6 Nationals!
  3. Ugh, these are the type of games that will make this a non-playoff team... Oh, wait..
  4. Yup, they just said that it was in fact Toronto. The Bills have a contract with the Rogers Centre
  5. Can anyone think of the third answer for the trivia question on TV? The question was something along the lines of, "What three MLB ballparks also host NFL games?" While the first two, Miami and Oakland, are easy I'm having trouble with the third. The only one that comes to mind is the Rogers Centre in Toronto because they hosted the Bears vs Bills game last year. Am I looking over an obvious one?
  6. Definately looked like he kept his foot on the bag. Prince didn't argue at all so it makes me wonder if he did pull it off though
  7. Regardless of order, I just love seeing this lineup! There is no longer a "black-hole" in the bottom of this lineup.
  8. I stepped away from the TV for a minute. Did they say why he was at the park?
  9. McCalvy is reporting, via Twitter, that Almonte was just struck in the face during BP and is seeing trainers right now. This might make our bench even more thin. Please activate Hart!!
  10. Reds lose and the Brewers, somehow, are now tied for the division lead!!
  11. Good start with Rickie walking on 4 pitches... I think this is the inning too! Kinda has to be
  12. Rick Sutcliffe just said that that was a swinging strike to Fielder because he had an INTENT to swing.... that may be one of the worst statements I have ever heard by a commentator...
  13. How many times, in just this game, has our shift actually hurt us and allowed them to get a hit where a defender would normally be?
  14. Is this game really not on TV? I know tomorrows game won't be on FSN because the Bucks are on...
  15. I was wondering if anyone has heard/seen any updates on the injuries to Greinke, Hart, Luccroy, Parra, Hawkins. I saw a couple of days ago that Hart and Greinke weren't rehabbing as they would like and may have to be pushed back. Also that Luccroy was about to start in AA before returning shortly. I haven't heard anything about Parra or Hawkins. I didn't see much detail. This season has obviously been frustrating so far, but I would like to see how this team looks when it is fully healthy. Does anyone have an idea of when that might be?
  16. Well Opening Week is here! I am so giddy, I can't focus on any work so I decided to start something fun. I know pre-season predictions mean next to nothing, but they're fun to do and read. So let's do some predicting... What do you think about: Who will win: AL East AL Central AL West AL Wild Card NL East NL Central NL West NL Wild Card Playoffs? AL MVP NL MVP AL Cy Young NL Cy Young AL Rookie of the Year NL Rookie of the Year AL Manager of the Year NL Manager of the Year Feel free to add any other categories you can think of! Happy Opening Day Week 2011!!!
  17. Even media has not gotten much information on the diagnosis, apparently they are hearing from the doctor currently. McCalvy will then be posting an article to Brewers.com
  18. Adam McCalvy is reporting on Twitter that Zack Greinke has a fractured rib and will miss extended time. I can't find it anywhere else...
  19. The White Sox announcer just said that getting Yuni Betancourt will make the Brewers stronger...
  20. To be fair, Corey was only excluded from the opening day starting lineup in 2010. He was on the roster. Sorry - carry on.Thanks hawing, good catch!... typing error on my part. I just think someone that was hitting that bad to be left off the opening day starting lineup has at least a question mark. While I don't think he'll fall off the face of the earth, I think he'll regress a little bit.
  21. I just got to thinking of who I think is poised to have a breakout year and who is poised to come back to reality and not live up to expectations or have more reasonable stats. Last year we had the likes of Corey Hart who had a career year as a breakout player. For disappointing years, the list could be too long, but players such as Randy Wolf, the entire bottom third of our rotation, Carlos Gomez, etc come to mind for me. My picks for 2011: Breakout: Yovanni Gallardo - while all of the attention has been put on the additions of Greinke and Marcum, I think Gallardo is poised to have a breakout year. For the first time (he was injured for most of 2008) he has been a full-time starter he doesn't have to be "the man" in the rotation. While I think he is capable of being the ace, it is important to have a supporting cast in the pitching staff. Last year it seemed as though he thought he had to go out there and pitch his absolute best game every time because the rest of the rotation is in shambles. I am excited to see hat Yo can do with an actual MLB pitching staff and without all of the pressure. Disappointing: Corey Hart - while everyone obviously wants each player to be clicking on all cylinders, it is unrealistic to expect that to happen. I just don't see how Corey Hart lives up to what he did last year. He was not even on our opening day roster last year. While I do not expect him to regress to his awful self of Spring Training '10, I think he will regress a little bit. Thoughts?
  22. I am heading to Orlando in the middle of March and was thinking of catching a Spring Training game while down there. I went to a Braves vs. Tigers game at the Disney Resort last year and would be interested in seeing a different stadium down there. Has anyone been to a game down there and does anyone recommend any of those stadiums?
  23. Hey guys, what a sad story but an awesome outcome! I e-mailed Tom Silverstein (The JSonline Packers beat writer) and he said he is going to make a blog regarding the story tomorrow as well. I thought it would be a good idea because a lot of Wisconsin sports fans are focusing at the Packers at this time. Let's get this field built!!
