  1. I have 9 tickets to the Brewers vs. Cubs game on Friday, May 8th. A couple people dropped out that I thought would be going. The tickets are two in Section 440 Row 13 Seats 3-4 (2 total) Section 440 Row 14 Seats 1-5 (5 total) Section 440 Row 15 Seats 1-2 (2 seats) The tickets would be $22.00 each. If you're interested you can message me or send me an e-mail at Jofis11ep@yahoo.com. I'm not trying to make a profit on these tickets, I just need to get rid of them and would MUCH rather they went to Brewers fans instead of Cubs fans. Let me know if you're interested, first come first serve basis!
  2. Does anyone know what happened to Soto...he was replaced by Koyie Hill after only one at-bat?
  3. With the current economic times, you would think ESPN would take into account market size. The top 3 teams are the teams with the top 3 budgets. How can you say that the Brewers had the third worst off-season in there market when they added the all times save leader, a decent 4-5 starter, and a AAA pitcher that adds another pitcher, sure they lost Ben Sheets and CC Sabathia but in these conditions did anyone really think they would sign them?,
  4. That is exactly what I was thinking, the New York teams did have outstanding offseason's but the Red Sox in that conversation? Come on!! As far as the Brewers, I am in no way saying that they had a good off season, but in no way do I think they were in the bottom 3. They got some depth with Looper, Hoffman and Wright, not that you can compare them at all to Sabathia and Sheets. But you can argue that this rotation is equivalent if not better to the starting rotation of last year.
  5. I just was watching Sportscenter's Baseball Hot Stove segment and they had the three teams with the best off season as well as the three teams with the worst offseason. Three Up: Yankees - obviously, ESPN loves them. Mentioned the three signings of CC, Burnett, and Teixera. Mets - all they talked about was because they revamped their bullpen (K-Rod and Putz) Red Sox - This one I really disagreed with. The only three moves they talked about was Smoltz, Penny, and Saito. All of them are past their prime and I can't see them giving all that much. Three Down: LA Angels - For losing Teizera, K-Rod, and Garret Anderson, somewhat agree. Mariners - Rebuliding after losing Putz and Raul Ibanez.....but they were already a 100 loss team.... He then had the Brewers - "We're a wonderful story, but will now have try to replace CC Sabathia and Ben Sheets..." He then talked about how they added Trevor Hoffman. I don't agree with this at all.... This is ESPN showing that they are in love with New York and Boston and there is no way that the Brewers had one of the three worst off seasons this year. I just don't agree
  6. After the signing of Braden Looper today, what do you think the rotation order will be? (Obviously, barring an injury in ST or another unforeseen acquisition.) My thoughts: 1.) Yovanni Gallardo 2.) Manny Parra 3.) Dave Bush 4.) Braden Looper (home opener) 5.) Jeff Suppan That brings McClung to the bullpen. I could also see a swap at the 2 and 3 spot.
  7. Does anyone know where I can get Ueck;s call from Braun's HR on the final day to clinch it.... in an mp3 format if possible? I'm trying to put together Brewer's CD
  8. Just a thought....but since it's only about an hour and half or so drive from Milwaukee. In some instances do you think some of the major leaguers would make rehab starts in Appleton sometimes?
  9. If you plan on going to the next homestand and are going to boo, just don't go to those games. Yes, these last three weeks or so have been very frustrating but the Brewers have provided a very entertaining summer this year, and as hard as it may seem, they still are in the race. Hopefully on that last weekend, if they are out of it, some people have some class and do give them a standing ovation. It's been a frustrating ride, but it's been one of the Brewer's most successful seasons in years. You can get angry and frustrated, but they still are your Brewers, please don't boo!
  10. The pitches Hall took were definately outside so it looks like Gameday is off Alright that's what I figured, it seemed pretty bad.....thanks!
  11. I'm watching the game on MLB Gamecenter. It may be because of that, but is this ump really inconsistent. I've already noticed it. I think it was just Bill Hall's AB. The first ball was right down the middle, and the fourth ball was directly on top of the two previous strikes looking. Can anyone watching the game live comment...
  12. Opening Day - Brewers 4 - Cubs 3 May 5 - Brewers 5 -Cards 4 May 27th - Brewers 3 - Braves 2 June 3rd - Brewers 7 - D-Backs 1 June 14th - Brewers 4 - Twins 9 (still a good game) July 6th - Brewers 11 - Pirates 6 July 8th - Brewers 7 - Rockies 3 July 9th - Brewers 3 - Rockies 8 Record so far 6-2 Games still to go to......tonight vs. Cubs, August 9th vs. Nationals, September 2nd vs. Padres
  13. I cannot, but I must say that would be INCREDIBLY cool. I am not in the Milwaukee area right now, but my girlfriend just told me she heard on WTMJ that you get free shirts. I guess we'll see how accurate that is!!
  14. I'll be there in the right field bleachers....I've heard a rumor that fans in attendance get a free CC Sabathia shirt, can anyone verify this?
  15. The ticket is still available
  16. I have one extra ticket to the Brewers vs. Cubs game at Wrigley Field on March 31st. I would prefer the person who buys the ticket be a Brewer fan, so if you're interested in purchasing the ticket off me let me know. The ticket is in Section 529 Row 2. Message me or respond to this....thanks!
  17. Opening day at Miller Park or in Chicago?
  18. I didn't notice if anyone else posted anything about this, if so, feel free to move it but I thought it should be mentioned. Here's the link pertaining to the Eric Gagne press conference but the last paragraph is somewhat interesting. Blalock would be a name I wouldn't be opposed to... http://blogs.jsonline.com/brewers/archive/2007/12/10/torres-is-reporting.aspx "3. The fact that Kevin Mench was designated for assignment, on the heels of allowing Geoff Jenkins to become a free agent, tells you that the Brewers have something else in mind for LF. Look for them to pick up an outfielder or acquire a third baseman and move Ryan Braun to LF. I'm starting to get some vibes on Texas third baseman Hank Blalock."
  19. Shumacker triples and Cards now lead 2-1, guy at third with one out for Pujols
  20. Ohman walks in a run...cubs now down 3-2
  21. They just menitoned it on FSN.....Rickie on the DL
  22. I agree that Weeks has been sucking lately. But since they have had Hart doing decent at the lead off spot for the last few days, why not drop Rickie lower in the lineup rather than sit him? I think he will improve dramatically once lowered, he has already gotten a few days off, give him a start now lower in the order and keep Hart at lead off.
  23. For April....that was a huge win!!
