On a side note, I hope Soriano gets absolutely knocked down tonight. What he did last night was absolutely ridiculous!! Yes, Braun has had his share of antics like that, (and I wish he would grow up and wait until the clubhouse to celebrate) but nothing he has done was near as bad as what Soriano did. He didn't even leave the batters box until the ball was gone and overly show boated the entire way around the bases....shameful!

Is it bad that I laughed at that?.... Hopefully they can find SOMETHING.....ANYTHING wrong with Suppan that can fix his woes, his last couple outings have been awful. I'm just trying to be optimistic.

I'm for a an all-pink game thread in order to get the Brewers acts together, to change it up..... any other ideas?

That catch by Wise, because of the circumstances, may have been one of the best catches EVER....wow! -
Hey Guys: I'm on the UW-L Mens Tennis team and our administration has decided to cut our sport due to statewide budget cuts. We were able to get them to reinstate the program if we were able to raise enough money to self fund ourselves. We are looking to raise money through fundraisers and donations. We have a website if anyone is interested in the cause: http://www.SaveUWLMensTennis.com Any of you BF.netters that are in the La Crosse area or from anywhere, we are holding a golf outing at Fox Hollow Golf Course on Sunday, August 23rd. If any of you wanted to get together and make a foursome we would love to have you. We are having a raffle and auction with some pretty cool Brewers and Packers and other sports memorabilia. It should be a good time and for a good cause. We also are running a fundraiser through the Kwik Trip Rewards program. If you sign up for a Kwik Card all of your money back goes straight to our organization. It costs you nothing to do. If you have any questions at all feel free to PM me. Check our website for all of our fundraising ideas and for any information. Thanks guys!

Awesome Suppan.... three home runs?
-
can we get any consistency from this team? Go form giving up 8 runs first game, no runs the second game and then 4 runs in just the third now..... this team needs to start stringing some of those good games together.

I wouldn't mind Bill Hall getting hot ha!
-
Bill Hall's last chance...... I've heard that before!
-
I heart Mike Cameron.... he may be frustrating at the plate sometimes but wow he helps us defensively
-
That was big for Looper to get through that sixth. He wasn't looking great at the beginning of the inning... Let's get him some runs!!
-
what is with the Brewers swinging straight through all of these 84-86 mph pitches with no movement??...
-
He's not going to go in hard when he zero chance to score - that would be pointless. Counsell did get to third on the play, so rundown wasn't necessary. Except it could have got Braun to second... Although I am sure they would have walked Prince... At the same time, it may not have gotten Counsell to third. He may have had to stay at second... you can't really blame anyone there. He was obviously going on contact and it was hit in just an awful place.
-
not even a close pitch and had no movement on it, don't swing!! At least Kershaw got his pitch count up and looks hittable
-
yuck... Alright stop them here and let's get our bats warmed up!!
-
Pujols with a two run double and then Thurston singles him in.... 3-3
-
This game is also on TBS, I did not know this.
-
Ha I would have to agree 100%. I always love to see the Cubs lose and maybe just go away but then again the Cardinals are ahead of us....
-
Kyle Lohse not looking very good early. Micah Hoffpaiur just hit a 3-run HR and now two more on for the Cubs in the first. Lohse is around 40 pitches..... 3-0 Cubs
-
Cubs and Cardinals have a day-night doubleheader (both on national TV) big games for the Brewers, I don't really know who to cheer for - I guess I'll go for a split. Cubs (Zambrano) vs. Cardinals (Lohse) at 12:05 on WGN Cubs (Wells) vs. Cardinals (Wainwright) at 7:05 on ESPN

Hoffman Replacing Broxton in All Star Game
Jofis11ep replied to PrinceEatMeat's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
Just watching ESPN's Baseball Tonight and Buster Olney reported that Zach Duke of the Pirates is replacing Matt Cain. -
Thanks Daubs, sorry I missed that one

http://sports.espn.go.com...neyer_rob&id=4316453 The article takes the best all time NL seasons from every position and names three all-stars and then 9 for the outfield. Can't really complain about any of the selections.... it's interesting that they have Ryan Braun's 2009 season as a selection - "Before this year, walks were the only thing missing from Braun's game, but now he's doing that, too; already a two-time All-Star." Milwaukee All-Stars - Hank Aaron: 1963 Milwaukee Braves Warren Spahn: 1953 Milwaukee Braves Ryan Braun: 2009 Milwaukee Brewers

ESPN Insider is reporting that Mark Mulder is ready to audition for teams. It says his goal is to pitch for a team almost right away and his agent says Mulder feels very strong. The report does not mention any particular teams that are interested or that are going to watch him pitch. I remember the Brewers being interested in him during the winter and Spring Training. If he looks good and at the right price, this may be a good move and worth it based on our pitchers recent struggles and the apparent lack of pitching depth on the trade market.

From Adam McCalvy, Bush is set to start his rehab tour this Friday (with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers) and then if that goes well, with Double A Huntsville July 15th, if that goes well he is on track to be back with the Brewers for the series against Pittsburgh July 20th. Good to get some more pitching back because we need it.... also cool to see some guys going to Appleton to rehab!
