  1. Really? He has looked terrible lately. I'm not thrilled with the move, but at least it's not some passive aggressive punishment like back when Macha was manager. Mark Kotsay has looked terrible since 2004, whereas Braun never looks terrible. Even last night he drew a walk and didnt strikeout which is a great sign for someone in a "slump"Look, the point is I doubt this was done in some sort of vacuum where RR said, "You know what Ryan, you look tired. Hit the pine." There's probably some other issue that they are not going to publicize at play here. Let's hope it's not an injury. I don't think this is a good move, but I doubt it's exactly as it's been presented.

  3. This is the exact same time frame as that series. They "celebrated" the Phillips-Molina-Bench-Clearing brawl anniversary the other day. The huge difference in these series is if the Brewers win they be up 6 games and the when the Cards swept the Reds they went up 1 game. Fair point. Although I will point out the Reds finished five games up at the end of the year, so there's still plenty of time and precedent for the Cards to catch up. By the way, anyone else see the Cards home/road split last year: 52-29; 34-47? I wonder why they were so good at home and so bad on the road? LOL

  5. Did anyone else in baseball care about the untucking thing. It's amazing how much that's stuck here. Anybody else been reading the post's other columnist this week. He really is trying to stir the pot with his word choices, more than any other writer I;ve ever seen. Even took a whole segment on his radio show to talk about how no Brewers shoed up at some off-day charity event Albert hosted, and how there's always someone there from visiting teams.
  6. Lineup: Hart 9 Morgan 8 Braun 7 Fielder 3 McGehee 5 Betancourt 6 Hairston 4 Kottaras 2 Wolf 1. I was going to say we could have a thread free of lineup complaints tonight, but I know we'll get at least three comments about the Wolf-Lucroy dynamic.
  7. Yikes, only bad if the Brewers need Estrada out of the bullpen. Hopefully it's only one start.
  8. Only if you've been in a coma the last few weeks. Aberration or not, those two have had some huge hits the last month.
  9. Ugh. The one time he doesn't make the play. Damn. Keep your head up T. Plush.
  10. Yeah, classic Brewers road loss/Cardinals home win. EDIT: Or not. Thank god.
  11. I understand, but with how bad we had been on the road I cant be disappointed after a sweep. Hoping for 2 out of 3 in the next series. 1 out of 3 would be acceptable because we would still have a two game lead. I love the pitching match ups. We miss Carpenter and Garcia and throw Marcum, Yo and Wolf. Hopefully we can do some work against Lohse, Westbrook and Jackson.Have they announced the pitching matchups yet? I would not be surprised to see TLR move up Carpenter to face the Brewers.
  12. You are a Brewers fan right? You know that's entirely possible given the history of this franchise?
  13. Yuck 7-4. Thanks for the choke job Marlins.
  14. Seems impossible considering the vast conspiracy that's been plotted against them.
  15. Another opposite field single drops in for Cards. Up 4-2 on cards in Top of 6 as the rain falls in Florida.
  16. IBB to Puojs with man on second leads to a Holliday RBI single. Tied at 2-2. Misplay in OF has runners on second and third with two outs. Now IBB to Berkman to pitch to John Jay.
