Casey. Wouldn't it be great if you could tell your kid that you won the game with a walkoff the day before he/she was born? -

Goose ... cooked ...

Maybe I have been infected by bad manager thinking, but I would put Hoffman out today. If he gets hit hard in two at-bats, I pull him for Parra maybe. Eeee, not good options out there. But definitely give him a break from closer duties for a week after that.
-
As rulz kinda alluded to, it would be nice to see him get more garbage time, but I kind of like the confidence building after the problems he's had the last few seasons.
-
Zaun officially over .200.
-
When Lucroy comes up, I expect him to hit.Yeah, our long citywide backstop nightmare should be over. Zaun not a bad placeholder until he's ready.
-
Does everyone just have leftover Jason kendall material from the last couple of seasons and they have to use it up on Zaun before it expires? He's not a bad hitter.
-
Does McGehee hit for enough power to make that a reasonable move. Or does it depend on how well Gamel/Green/Other hits at 3B?
-
Come on Corey, break this open.

Suppan to the bullpen; Narveson to start
sargennm replied to brewtown82's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
I'm not complaining about this. It's a step in the right direction. -
Does Suppan even have any value in the pen?

Cardinals TV announcer calls Brewers disrespectful
sargennm replied to apirk's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
Isn't it about time he goes on the DL? LOL. Also fans down here are mad about the Cardinals great start because they are "hitting too many HRs." That's what you get from your fans when you congratulate them for applauding sac bunts. -
Gomez ... Walks ... (calling Hell to see if it has frozen over/calling Green Bay to see if Ted Thompson is trading up tonight).
-
He's 38 years old. He is ready to fall off the proverbial cliff in terms of MLB production.11 games and 45 at bats isn't enough to prove he has.
-
Zaun has been a .700+ OPS guy that last five years. He's going through a slump right now. He will be better. I don't understand the hyperventilating about his performance thus far.
-
Good for George, but before anyone says it: No Kottaras should not start more.
-
In fairness to Pirate fans, I remember my delusional days with the Brewers, thinking that they might be able to compete. Logically "This has gotta be the year. We're due." doesn't make any sense, but logic goes out the window after a decade plus of losing baseball.
-
No. Pirates have just been poorly run for far too long. If they put even a competitive team on the field, people would come back there just like in Milwauke, IMO.
-
All I remember reading/hearing about Cruz at the time of the trade was that he could not hit an off-speed pitch and would be overmatched in the majors. I really can't blame Melvin for the trade.
-
399.5 feet, apparently. Geez.
-
Wow, Ueker is really struggling. When Suppan hit it said that would score a run, than no that will end the game — er frame. At least he finally got the score right at the end of the inning.
-
Zaun>Kendall. Can we at least agree on that now?
-
Bigger implosion if Suppan managed a homer: Brewerfan or Z?
