True, my question kind of had a double meaning. I think the answer to that question could also be "Brewer Fan." At least that's how I've felt the past 20 some-odd years.
What's that word for doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results? Lineup per TH at JS: 2B Rickie Weeks CF Mike Cameron LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder RF Corey Hart 3B Bill Hall SS JJ Hardy P Dave Bush C Jason Kendall
If this keeps up I really hope Prince or Braun or somebody calls himself and the rest of the team out after the game. Something has to light a fire under these guys. Man this is just painful.
Here's the lineup from TH's blog: 2B Rickie Weeks CF Mike Cameron LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder RF Corey Hart 3B Bill Hall SS JJ Hardy P Jeff Suppan C Jason Kendall P.S. to Brewers hitters. It's not funny anymore. Please wake up.
And the beat goes on. Here are the lineups: Brewers 2B Rickie Weeks CF Mike Cameron LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder RF Corey Hart 3B Bill Hall SS J.J. Hardy RHP Carlos Villanueva C Jason Kendall Astros CF Michael Bourn 2B Kaz Matsui SS Miguel Tejada 1B Lance Berkman LF Carlos Lee RF Hunter Pence 3B Ty Wigginton C Brad Ausmus RHP Roy Oswalt
Because now they actually know the ACL is torn and LONG TERM it can do damage to other knee ligaments. After the on-the-field evaluation, they thought he had a minor knee injury. TH just said on Homer's show that Kendall didn't notice anything wrong with him after the injury.
To end all the debate if Ned made it worse, here's Melvin's comment from the Brewers.com story "The doctor said no further damage could have happened by going back out to pitch," Melvin said. "Once it's torn, it's torn. Going out to pitch didn't cause any additional problems." http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20080502&content_id=2626576&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb
Good god this team is cursed when it actually has good starting pitching. Nieves, Teddy, Cal, Sheets and now Yo. Of course it had to happen on some freak, ridiculous play against the Cubs.
It would suck to put up with Cubs fans, but I think it would be nice for Milwaukee and Wisconsin if they came up here for 81 games and got stupid with their money in our hotels, restaurants, bars, etc. The city could use it.
On top of that the Brewers have had the toughest schedule thus far according to ESPN's SOS formula: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/stats/rpi?season=2008&sortColumn=sos
UPDATE: TH says no problem with knee, NOT EVEN SWELLING. His on the field reaction, Yo says, "I was just scared." http://blogs.jsonline.com/brewers/archive/2008/05/01/that-was-some-victory.aspx
