  1. I thought this was a for sure blow out loss for the Brewers. Not counting this one in the win column yet, but man I like how they are putting the hammer down right now.
  2. Well that's good news. Let's hope Riske can be the new 8th inning guy starting today. I would feel much better about Mota as a guy used more in the middle innings than the one who is going to get the game to Torres.
  3. The attention was somewhat puzzling. Huh? Two paragraphs later he goes on to pretty much say that Prince is the highest profile athlete ever to go veg, not to mention he's doing it for a team that has racing meat between innings. I also love when a story starts with a question that it fails to answer.
  4. Or prove he can get hit by a RHP. That works too. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  5. RF Corey Hart SS Craig Counsell LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder 3B Russell Branyan CF Mike Cameron 2B Bill Hall C Mike Rivera P Ben Sheets
  6. I don't think the majority of the comments are complaints as much as people still find it a little shocking when you see non-HR swings scream out of that stadium. Considering the Brewers seem to live and die by the HR, I rather like the ol' bandbox.
  7. Just watched Corey's inside the parker on Gameday, it's pretty awesome. I also really liked that Bill Hall was the first one in the dugout to congratulate him. He was at the top of the steps to congratulate him coming off field. I'm not a big fan of the way he's handled the benching, but at least it seems he's not letting it turn him into a turd.
  8. I don't want to jinx anything, but guess which team now has all of its starters batting .200 or better?
  9. Turnbow is doing his thing in Nashville right now. Two strike outs sandwiched between two five-pitch walks. Yikes.
  10. The silence on this board in this situation speaks volumes about this team right now.
  11. Here's the lineup for today. Cameron and Hall sit for Gwynn and Dillon. Interesting lineup. R. Weeks 2b J.J. Hardy ss R. Braun lf P. Fielder 1b C. Hart rf J. Dillon 3b T. Gwynn cf B. Sheets p J. Kendall c
  12. An average of $5.625 million a year. I'm guessing the Brewers make that much back in Braun jersey and t-shirt sales. Holy cow!
  13. TH just mentioned on the D-List he thinks Dillard will get the call up. He can go a couple innings and apparently he's already on the 40-man roster.
  14. On the bright side, it looks like LaRussa is holding out Puljos tonight: http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/sports/stories.nsf/cardinals/story/E7813D5F8445AB128625744700197AC3?OpenDocument Manager Tony La Russa plans to rest first baseman Albert Pujols tonight, potentially giving Pujols his first day off this season. He didn't start an earlier game but appeared as a pinch-hitter. "It's what I've been thinking all along. It's a good way to do it," said La Russa, who in spring training forecast two or three days off a month for the former MVP. A midgame appearance would imperil Pujols' season-long run of reaching base in 39 consecutive games. La Russa plans to start Chris Duncan at first tonight.
  15. Yeah, that looked pretty awful on gameday. It sure seems the Brewers have been the victims of some pretty inconsistent strike zones this year.
  16. Tonight's line-ups from JS and the Post-Dispatch: Schumaker Miles Pujols Ludwick Glaus Ankiel Molina Welleyemer Izturis Weeks Cameron Braun Fielder Hart Hall Hardy Parra Kendall
  17. Baserunner in the 1st inning. Let's do this!
  18. Rockies lead the Cards 7-1 in the bottom of the 5th. Kyle Loshe got knocked around for four innings and Jorge De La Rosa (!) is spinning a two-hitter so far. Hopefully the Brewers found some witch doctor in Miami after the game yesterday and got him to do a reverse curse on the Cardinals. That's my only explanation on how St. Louis has done so well so far this year and the Brewers so bad. It all turns around tonight! Ooo eee, ooo ah ah ting tang, walla walla bing bang!
  19. I don't get it, but nothing seems to make sense about this team lately. Maybe this will work Lineups per TH's JSonline blog: 2B Rickie Weeks CF Mike Cameron 1B Joe Dillon LF Ryan Braun SS JJ Hardy 3B Bill Hall RF Gabe Kapler C Mike Rivera P Carlos Villanueva
  20. At least Bush seems to be pounding the strike zone again. Only 16 pitches through 2
  21. Brewers incredible steak of everything going against them continues.
  22. Seconded. My wife wants a one-hour notice before Brewer games come on so she can hide all the sharp objects in the house.
