  1. I'm guessing because after a while it becomes pretty clear it's not the coaches failing to coach, it's the players failing to perform.
  2. He's known as the Prince of Darkness in town for a reason. He's just got a real biting kind of sarcasm. If the Brewers were undefeated I think he'd still quip/complain about something. He's perfect for Milwaukee.
  3. I hope you're right, fondy. But the whole vibe of this team right now makes me really nervous. They actually got a quality start out of Bush last night and could only muster three hits. It really struck me watching a bunch of these Cardinals guys, who aren't established major leaguers yet, have really good approaches at the plate and get clutch hits when they needed them. And then you watch Bill Hall with men on base or Hardy, and ... I know its early, but I am starting to get concerned
  4. I'm going to this game in my throwback '80s Brewers jersey. Please don't suck like the '90s Brewers tonight.
  5. There is no way they should only score one run against this team.
  6. Got this pitcher is missing his spots badly ...
  7. Please do not waste this opportunity.
  8. Sinking feeling? You would have a problem with Kapler starting over Gross righ now?? This is the classic example of the argument that Ned's damned when he does and damned when doesn't. If he starts Kapler and he puts up an 0-for everyone is going to be on him about not having enough lefty bats in the lineup. If he starts Gross and he goes 0-for, everyone's going to go crazy because he didn't start the hot hand. Personally, I think you go with Kapler because he is swinging such a hot bat, but it's hard to ignore his splits against righties.
  9. Braun and Fielder asked to be switched back, and Ned did it! http://blogs.jsonline.com/brewers/archive/2008/04/13/yost-flips-fielder-and-braun.aspx Brewers 2B Rickie Weeks CF Gabe Kapler LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder 3B Bill Hall RF Corey Hart SS J.J. 10. Aside from the Cubs game and than darn two-strike pitch to Patterson, Gagne has pitched well. I'm flushing the rest of my Bayer down the toilet. He's got my confidence.
  11. Good to see the rook has the same plate patience as the vets. At least he got a hit, I guess.
  12. No it's not stupid, it's what you do with your best pitcher when he's dealing.
  13. Hopefully Yost pulls him now. I'm not a Yost hater, but this seems to be the time to do it. Errr. Please don't go deep here Carlos.
  14. Woohoo. Hopefully Weeks just voodoo'd his defensive yips over to Phillips.
  15. I wonder if anyone is actually watching a television there. If it's anything like the other similar establishments I've visited in northern Wisconsin, they probably would rather be watching TV.
  16. What do you mean start hitting? Prince is hitting .333 and Braun just launched another bomb today. I am not sure what you are waiting for. I guess prince needs to be batting 500 and Braun needs a homer every game to satisfy you. Up until that last bomb by Braun his approach looked off in the games I've watched. Plus he and Prince seemed to carry the offense last year. And it's been other guys in their wins so far. I'm just saying this team will be very good if they get that same output from last season and the other guys in the lineup like Kendall and Kapler keep it up. That's it.
  17. Who was it that plunked Braun last year for hot dogging after hitting a home run? On that one he just put his head down almost immediately after he hit it. Guess he learned his lesson.
  18. I'm feeling real good about this team. (As long as I can assume that Prince and Braun will eventually start hitting.)
  19. Ugh, 6 RBI for Bill Hall. Yosted again!
  20. http://sports.aol.com/fanhouse/2008/04/03/cubs-fans-accidentally-insult-fukudome/
  21. Gross just doubled to open the bottom half of the inning.
