  1. Section 231 row 17 seats 23/24 I think (i didnt look until an hour ago lol)
  2. OMG!!! holy crap....i just threw down $300 for a plane ticket to WI from Phoenix for the game, sent in my PTO for Saturday. IIM GOING TO THE PLAYOFFS IN MILWAUKEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Heres a potential twist to the whole thing.....have a gander at the weather for NY tomorrow. It looks entirely possible that the Mets game could be rained out or at least delayed a while.
  4. www.carsoup.com/baseball
  5. I think today sealed the deal for me as well. I had planned on taking tomorrow off to watch the last game of the season, but I had the opportunity to work a 24 tomorrow come up so I took it. It will help me keep my mind off the team for at least a day. Of course I will DVR the game, and if they win I will watch it Monday, but the Packers will be on Sunday Ticket at the station tomorrow.
  6. Slightly drunken rant warning...lol. This has been one heck of a rollercoaster....its even harder living 1500 miles away in Phoenix. I made it up for Opening Weekend this year and had planned on coming up for this Cubs series but work and recertification got in the way...only for me to be able to purchase NLDS tickets. Yeah this team has probably given me a couple small heart attacks this season, but it feels good that it is September and baseball still has meaning in Milwaukee this late in the year. I wear my Brewers gear proudly out here and people are starting to notice the Brewers, people will come up and say "good hit by Braun the other night, etc". Now I just need to figure out if they clinch the WC if i drop the $400 on airfare and head to Milwaukee or send my parents in Eau Claire down to the game for an anniversary gift.
  7. I was a Menomonie Indian (although we were the Mustangs briefly after the whole Indian name issue) http://www.wihsfb.com/Menominee%20hlmt.bmp
  8. I remember when I was in Milwaukee back in April, I went to one of the clubs downtown and showed them my AZ license, and they looked at my expiration date (2048) and thought my ID was a fake. They had to break out their little "how to spot a fake id" guide before they let me in the club.
  9. I will be going to quite a few ST games as I live in Glendale. That being said, renting a house in Snottsdale is going to be $$$$ and really not worth it. Perhaps I am just biased but SDL is way overhyped and too "fake" of a city for me. That being said, you could probably find something over in Peoria or Glendale for a decent rate. If you didnt mind being a little farther out, Avondale or Goodyear may be even cheaper, and still not a long drive over to Maryvale or any of the other parks on the west side of phoenix. As far as night life goes...it really depends on what you enjoy. If you like the college scene (ASU), Mill Ave in Tempe is worth checking out. I have sort of grown out of that phase and prefer smaller hole in the wall type places now. Most places arent overly horrible, but there are certain places to avoid (namely most of the bars/clubs in Central/South Phoenix). You may even want to check out craigslist and see if people would have houses/rooms to rent out.
  10. EC is fun! Gotta love Water Street on a Friday night http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  11. I must have been in the wrong area then, there were a few scattered about around section 108-105 but thats about all i saw. I am not sure where I will be tomorrow night, I'll have to look at the tickets.
  12. great game tonight!!! I was a little surprised at the low attendance overall. They said something like 21,300 (approx) attended. I saw a few people in Brewers gear but nothing like I have seen in past years.
  13. heading out to the park shortly....maybe will run into some of you there!!!
  14. will there be cute single WI girls in section 110 with you? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif lol
  15. I might be up for some pregame drinking...since we all know we cant tailgate in PHX. I will have to find out when my friend plans on meeting me there and if she would be up for it. Shes a huge baseball fan (and cute too!!!) ....sadly would probably put some peoples knowledge on here to shame. lol
  16. I will be in section 108 on Tuesdays game wearing my blue Ryan Braun jersey. Hope to see other Brewer fans out there!!!
  17. that would be fun. I will be at Tuesday and Wednesdays game. I havent bought my ticket yet because the person who was supposed to go with me bailed on me (aka girlfriend dumped me). Anyone coming into town for the series?
  18. As a FF/Medic I work 24 hour shifts with 48 hours off. We often get broken sleep throughout the course of a shift. I find that for me I am more tired during the day and more alert at night. The hardest part for me is on my days off, I usually will end up sleeping most of the day and be up most of the night. Some peoples body clocks just adjust to irregular schedules and any change in sleep patterns will throw your circadian rhythm off. Ive found that most energy drinks actually wear more out more than actually giving me energy. The best solution ive found is not eating much fast food or drinking alot of soda but eating a semi healthy diet.
  19. I went to high school in Menomonie and this issue came up when i was in HS. They voted to change our name from the Menomonie Indians to the Menomonie Mustangs. A few years later that decision was reversed. However we did stop using the Indian logo as our symbol and now they use the "flying" M. I never found it offensive and most in the community didnt either. Its just those few PC crazies who are trying to make a name for themselves. Edit: just did a google search and see it has came up again as of 2 weeks ago. http://www.leadertelegram.com/story-news.asp?id=BGBKIUNQC3B
  20. $270 - Plane ticket from Phoenix to Minneapolis 4 1/2 hour drive from parents to Milwaukee on the morning of opening day $20 Terrace Reserved tickets Opening Day in Milwaukee - Priceless http://i30.tinypic.com/2coht0l.jpg
  21. I have the Extra Innings package. Does anyone know if they plan on doing the dual feed all season? Ive been kind of spoiled watching FSN WI for all the games so far.
  22. Im in Glendale and same as azcheesehead i was able to purchase great seats off their website. I am not 100% sure if I am going to the entire series or not this year, but I will update as I know more. That being said, as it gets closer I will ask my friend who used to work for the Dbacks and still has many connections there if she can maybe swing something, she usually gets really decent seats for some of the games throughout the year.
  23. silly question, but was all of the parking presold for tomorrow? My friend got tickets today but didnt think of getting parking.
  24. my buddy and i ended up getting terrace seats, at least we will be there
