  1. Of course Segura would get a base hit after a double play wipes out the baserunners
  2. I dont think ive seen Lucroy ever get angry like that before...looks like he turned around and gave the ump the death stare once he got into the dugout
  3. So if Estrada has to go long tonight, that almost would solidify Fiers being called up and starting Saturday right?
  4. Thanks topper!! Stache, Davis is out with L elbow soreness
  5. Any stat heads able to look up what our stats are when we are losing after the first inning. Seems like every time we play from behind early on we lose
  6. Not sure how much it truly factors in, but Parra is quite familiar with seeing these Giants pitchers having played in the NL West for several years.
  7. The Pirates may indeed pitch inside and lead In hit batsmen...my issue is the way Arizona is retaliating. They threw inside 2 times prior to hitti ng McCutchen and threw inside and missed the first time on Braun too. My thinking is you take your shot, you miss, you move on. You dont keep throwing til you hit the batter. That just seems like poor form to me
  8. Based on what ive heard from my friends who are Dbacks fans, they seem to be behind this "gritty" culture here in AZ. Apparently winning isnt really important. This article came out today as well, and MLB Network read a statement LaRussa sent out basically approving of this as well. http://www.azfamily.com/home/Diamonbacks-Designated-Dirtiest-Baseball-Team--270101351.html
  9. I was at the game last night and many of us were surprised as well. Most of us were figuring it would be ruled "inconclusive" and the call on the field would stand. Which should stand to reason we will get hosed on a call tonight. That seems to be how it goes
  10. Will Carroll was just on MLB Network saying the type of injury McCutchen has is usually a 4-6 week recovery time
  11. The paramedic in me says something like that would warrant an ambulance ride. At a minimum we can apply a tourniquet if necessary as well as provide IV therapy to maintain perfusion in the case of an arterial bleed and or shock. I've transported several patients from industrial settings and 99.97% of the time the company insurance policy covers and generally mandates they goto the hospital by ambulance. Obviously hindsight is 20/20 and I can understand why you did what you did. As for the blood cleanup, absolutely they should have sent someone out to professionally clean it up.
  12. And possibly lost Garza for a while
  13. Just saw an interesting theory on Garza. Perhaps RRR pulled Gaza as a precaution since he was moved up in the rotation
