  1. Cards mounting a mini-rally in the top of the 9th...2 guys on.
  2. Cy Bush -- 8 K's through 5. Looks like he's trying to beat Benny's mark from last night. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Pitch count is at 78, for what it's worth.
  3. Griffey goes yard in Chicago, Reds lead 7-3. Phils still hold a 4-1 lead, one man on in the top of the 9th for the Cards.
  4. Prince triple! Holy crap! Nice knowing ya, George of the Rose. 7 ER in 3.2 IP.
  5. Ryan Braun has 3 RBI and he's hit the ball a total of 200 feet...I'll take it. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  6. Rickie keeps it fair down the line! More runs, plz. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  7. KAPLER! IN PLAY RUN(S)! Nice RBI double, Gabe. Hopefully Rivera can get him in, too.
  8. Dave Bush says, "I don't need no stinkin' defense." 6 K's through 4, and a nice job of working out of the jam. Brandon Phillips just hit a 2-run homer to put the Reds ahead of the Cubs, 4-3.
  9. Second...he played for KC last year. Looks like he still owns Prince, though. *sigh*
  10. Another nice and easy inning for Bush. 33 strikes and only 13 balls so far...wow.
  11. The good part about today's game not being on TV is we don't have to hear Bill Schroeder talk about how hard it is to be a back-up catcher whenever Mike Rivera does something of note on the field. I imagine Rock would say something like "Well, it's hard to get a read on the pitcher when you don't get to play all that often" after that strikeout to end the inning.
  12. Very nice inning from Bush after the rough first. Quintanilla never took the bat off his shoulders that AB.
  13. Got out of it only giving up 1 run...nice. It could've been much worse, and at least the Cards are losing early too. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  14. The Brewers (50-41) look for the split against the Rockies (39-53) this afternoon at The Keg. The game will not be televised, so that means a day of following on GameDay and listening to Bob and Jim. Looks to be a nice day outside, so maybe it's a chance to get a little sun while listening to the Brew Crew. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif It'll be this guy: http://images.sportsline.com/images/baseball/mlb/players/60x80/486527.jpg Dave Bush, RHP 4-8, 4.74 ERA 53 K/26 BB Against this strangely familiar guy: http://images.sportsline.com/images/baseball/mlb/players/60x80/284591.jpg Jorge de la Rosa, LHP 3-4, 6.58 ERA 55 K/22 BB Lineup, per TH: 2B Rickie Weeks SS J.J. Hardy LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder RF Corey Hart 3B Bill Hall CF Gabe Kapler C Mike Rivera RHP Dave Bush Haudricourt also mentions that Corey Hart remains in a deadlock with David Wright for the final NL roster spot. We have until 4 PM today to get The Hitman into the All-Star Game...keep voting. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif Go Brewers -- let's secure the split against George of the Rose. Please?
  15. Well, even with the debacle that was last night's game, the Brewers are still only a half game behind the Cards and are still 3 full games ahead of the Mets. Beating up on George of the Rose today would do a lot to soothe the nerves. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  16. Phillies take a 2-0 lead on the Cards, at least. Nice play by Kendall, but would it kill Stetter to go an outing without getting the leadoff man on?
  17. It would really suck to lose this game with Bush starting tomorrow. I really can't put into words how much I hate playing the Rockies.
  18. 110 pitches. Sheets'll be done after 6, and he leaves trailing the game. This is like 2004 all over again.
  19. This is what happens when you refuse to be patient against Glendon Rusch. Unfreakingbelievable. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif
  20. Stranding leadoff doubles really sucks. I'll be pretty bummed if Ben pitches this well and ends up losing to Glendon freaking Rusch.
  21. 69 pitches through 4 innings...he desperately needs a nice sub-10 pitch inning.
  22. KKKKKKKKK! Holy crap...even though Sheets is dealing, I hope Ned doesn't let him throw like 120 pitches tonight.
  23. First 7 outs were strikeouts...jeez. The crowd sounded pretty bummed when that first flyout happened.
