  1. Man this is my first IGT of the year, has it been this doom and gloom all season after just ONE run?
  2. I could have swore that ball hit ManRam's bat. It even sounded like it did.
  3. I also think it's funny that Tulo (with 1 year service time, and I know the positions are relative) got a 6 yrs., $31 Million dollar deal. Second to Braun once again.
  4. Agreed. In the history of sports, there have been a couple handfuls of players who were "irreplaceable" Prince is not one of them. If he gets mad, or feels slighted, it's his loss.
  5. So if he knew this was going to happen for "4-5 days now" you wonder if the weight lifted off his shoulder got the bat going.
  6. Yes Shouse is ONE of the FEW relievers who can get ready in one hitter. Gagne v. Pierre isn't a bad matchup as the worst is a base hit. Zero long ball power, so you don't have to worry about giving up the 3 run shot. Why do you feel that it was a "bad" decision?
  7. I'd hate him too if I was constantly snapping my head around in the other direction to watch the ball land 400 feet behind me.
  8. Those frustrated with Yost's in-game management just don't think Yost is putting players in position to be successful. As a Ned supporter, this is something I can be in total agreement with. On the flip side, I feel like there has been plenty of times this season already where players WERE in position to be successful, and failed, and for whatever reason, Ned was still to blame for their lack of production.
  9. Cappy now going the surgery route. He'll have the TJ surgery on Thursday it sounds like... http://www.jsonline.com/watch/?watch=1&date=5/13/2008&id=39649
  10. Didn't know where else to put this, but when I was reading the "probable pitchers" area on Brewers.com I came across this interesting little tid-bit... Bush found success in his most recent start by using the inner half of the plate, somewhat of a departure from pitching coach Mike Maddux's philosophy. Do you think they have been asking Bush to pitch a different way than he is comfortable with? I could only wonder if defensive set up or something along those lines were causing the staff to ask Bush to work out of his comfort zone or something?
  11. My personal favorite is "Boy you said it partner"
  12. I'm not talking necessarily pink, just any color in general. I agree the Mothers Day bats are a nice special occasion. I just don't understand the rule on bats vs. gloves.
  13. It doesn't make sense, pitchers can use bright red or blue gloves, but hitters can't use different colored bats? Not a good rule at all.
  14. I hope they eventually let one guy (Torres) fill the closer void until Gagne is given another shot. Which I think he deserves, and of which I think he will be successful.
  15. I get it, and TSack, I doubt you're too far north, I loved it right away and I'm from up north as well.
  16. I don't know where the exact posts are but I do recall people asking for LaRussa. I'm sure there is at least one person on this board who feels as such.
  17. What I took from Ned's comments is this was only a temporary move. I think he is just going to let Gagne work on a few things for a few days, and then he'll be back filling the role shortly.
  18. For what it's worth, I caught some games this weekend with friends (and life long die hard fans) from St. Louis. They do not like Tony, said he's arrogant, and tries to over-do himself with his in game management. I just thought it was worth posting as some view him as one Milwaukee would be better off with. Just a good example of every teams fans disliking their own manager.
  19. Just furthering proof that there will always be some who criticize Ned, no matter what. Last night's game was one of his best to date.
  20. Full Time - Entertainment Marketing.
  21. Well I have been a long time supporter of Ned, I don't think he's the reason this team is under performing, and I feel if he was fired it would be kind of a raw deal to him (these guys are professionals, it's time to step up and play like it). But I don't really know what other options there are right now outside of trying someone else. I'm not at all on the "Fire Ned Yost" bandwagon, I just think for the sake of every Brewer fan/player/coach/FO person, it's time to try something new. If it still doesn't work after that? There are much larger issues at hand than Ned Yost.
  22. Did they honestly think that two guys with zero full seasons as SP would be able to hold up the back end of the rotation? Should have known going into it the pitching wasn't there...
  23. I don't think he meant it as a comparison of success, but rather just to show you can't simply take the previous 162 games to make a point about a manager.
  24. I don't think anyone is saying "nothing" is Ned or the staff's fault. There does come a point where the players have to perform, not everything falls on the manager either.
