  1. Even still, why burn Counsell and only have one bat on the bench you can go to in the 6th inning? With a tired bullpen, in a tight game, he had to keep both available position players free for later in the game. You can't burn through everyone by the 6th inning.
  2. Only right handed bat in the dugout last night was Rivera, and you especially can't go with your backup catcher that early in the game. Lead off hitter of the next inning for the Phils was a right handed hitter, so he was thinking Bush had a better chance against him than Stetter. Then Philly went Lefty, Righty, Lefty for Stetter. That's how I saw it anyway.
  3. Splitter this is what we knew was coming with a young pitching staff. It's frustrating as all can be, but our SP's need to go deeper into the game for this team to have a fighting chance.
  4. Either way it's irrelevant if Rickie could get a ball up on a DP (which I know you can't assume, but still).
  5. I'm looking to buy a Super Nintendo system if anyone has one they'd be willing to part with. I may have a few things I can offer in trade, otherwise I will gladly do paypal or something like that. If anyone could help out, that would be really appreciated, thanks!
  6. At this point in the season, I place far more responsibility on the players themselves. Everyone is rested up, fresh to go for the season and should be ready to produce. Lack of offensive production is hurting more than any managerial decisions at this point in the season. It's time to start placing a bit more of the blame on the players, as when push comes to shove, they are the ones not getting the job done.
  7. I was hoping for a Week's day off with Craig getting the start, but I'll take it. He's had a good bat early in the season.
  8. The lineup has nothing to do with Rickie's lack of production. He's seeing plenty of pitches to hit and he's doing nothing with them.
  9. Brewers The Office South Park Big Bang Theory Two and Half Men (possibly my favorite) How I Met Your Mother King of Queens
  10. Add to it Gross' terrible base running error eariler in the game. If he would have ran through that play he would have ended up at third. Instead, he looked confused and scared, and didn't move up anywhere.
  11. Seriously? This is beyond coaching, and how in the world can this be pinned on Ned? Rickie has been lost as a big league hitter, he's never turned the numbers in everyone had projected. He's a career .245/.353 hitter. That must be Neds fault.
  12. Sheets and Cameron returning the same day is just fine with me. Although, I'n not too excited about Sheets missing a start already this year. If this drags on, I will have even MORE of a vent!
  13. Couldn't agree more. I would even go as far as to call that a "lazy" play by Gabe Gross. I still can't figure out why Braun fielded that ball in the first place.
  14. So back on the home stand again, and Bill Hall's intro song is still driving me nuts. "Oh yay, whoa yay yo yo" that one. Who's got the name of this thing? It's got the Reggae sound going on, please help!
  15. JazzyTrav, I'm not calling you out on this one. I didn't even list anybody's name.
  16. Ned is in a total lose/lose situation with some on this board. If he listens to his coaches, and it fails, he should have vetoed them. If he goes against what they say and it fails, he should have listened to the other coaches. I honestly believe some people are more concerned with criticizing coaching than winning baseball games.
  17. Or if Castro and Maddux and Gagne give Ned the green light...
  18. I don't mean to single you out, but it's frustrating that comments like this are still made. Ned involves all the coaches in each decision that is made from the lineup to pitching changes. You know that when Maddux picks up the phone, calls out to the pen, he asks Castro..."Is so and so available today?" Depending on response, decisions are made. I hate how Ned gets absolutely crushed by fans and media for every decision, where as not a single coach (other than the former Butch Wynegar) receives any of the same verbal punishment. And for all who think Ted Simmons is the god send to get Ned out of here and step in to the Managers role, you have to realize he is having as much say as anybody this season on the bench. You guys all know he will not be shy to voice his opinion to Ned when he thinks something is wrong. I'm curious to what allows him the free pass?
  19. Are you more interested in winning games or who's managing the team?
  20. "Umma Do Me" isn't it this year. Did you every find out what it was brewswinga2? I have been looking for this years myself.
  21. I was more curious if any of you have had an experience personally with Ned talking down to fans. I don't mean through the media. I can speak from experience that when something is even the slightest off with a promotion or a single game, the guests/fans are the worst people out there. I would snap if I had media on my tail about it 24/7 as well. I just don't think Ned has been blatantly rude to a fan per say.
  22. You are right. Ned should be making snap decisions and having town hall meetings every time something might need adjustment. I knew there was a reason so many baseball teams are managed by the fans... And just out of curiosity, when has Ned talked down to fans? I've always found him to be a pretty good guy actually?
  23. Getting my wisdom teeth out a couple hours ago. I'm starving, and all I can have is pudding. Unreal.
  24. Why don't you tell us what you are looking for?
  25. He kept Gross hitting 2nd to be consistent with the lineup for when Cameron comes back, now only one player has to adjust into their spot in the lineup, while the other 8 are already established. And I'm glad you brought this up, because it's also part of my point... Last year, Ned gets shredded for messing with the lineup too often. So this year, HIS STAFF sets a lineup in Spring Training, and decides it's best to just rotate that two spot with whoever is playing Center, and let the other guys have a permanent home in the lineup (which is what everybody wanted) and now he's getting blasted for that. There will always be a camp who hates Ned regardless if they win 162 games. That is what is so frustrating.
