  1. I know it's easy to pick one play or situation in games, but it should be pointed out to the Jenkins slump continued tonight with another 0-4.
  2. You don't take a starter and warm him up, then sit him down, and then ask him to get ready in 4 or 5 pitches again. Just doesn't happen.
  3. Maybe the Brewers score 2,3, or 4 runs. Then, somebody like Balfour has a much nicer cushion to work with than he does in a tie game. Again, good in theory, but what makes you think they are going to even score A run? Outside of Braun's rocket, they couldn't score in 12 innings, why would it change in the 13th?
  4. I would have taken out Estrada after dogging down the line What happens then if something happens to Damian?
  5. In theory, yes you pull him. But you can't warm somebody up in 20 seconds. You're also not planning on getting someone up to warm up when Balfour goes in because A. it sends a terrible message to Balfour/confidence B. You can't just warm up, cool off, warm up, cool off etc...
  6. So Coco get us through that inning with 2 guys on already, and that assuming he could even warm up that fast, and then the Brewers don't score, and then what? Spurling and Balfour as the stoppers? You know that's not how you manage that situation, he handled it the right way. It's probably his fault Estrada didn't hustle down the line and the Brewers couldn't push one across though with bases loaded and no out.
  7. Get a clue, you don't go to Coco in that situation. Give Ned a rest tonight.
  8. Well for the first time this year, I will use this..... BOOOOOOOOOOOO!
  9. Somewhat on/off topic, but if they lose this game, the Real Baseball Postgame show will be filled with calls calling for Ned's head. Which is too bad, because he managed a heck of a game tonight.
  10. I feel like Cappy struggles with the bottom half of the order traditionally. I don't know how I could track that down or even if it's possible to, but I really feel like he gets himself in trouble with batters 6-9.
  11. Mench is 5-7 against Harang lifetime. I'm fine with him getting the start tonight.
  12. He's on Sportsradio 1250 right now, pretty basic interview so far, but he really seems like a good guy though, he's been chatting it up for a while now.
  13. That has got to be Steve Buscemi.
  14. I'll admit I didn't look at the numbers, and was going off my own head (which obviously isn't always statistically correct). All in all I just didn't care for him at all.
  15. Weeks OBP is .389 in the month of July.
  16. Article about Braun/Brewers from STL Post Dispatch Decent article by a St. Louis beat writer.
  17. I was not impressed with him when he was here this past week. He's a headcase. After every single at bat he had here, which for the most part was unsuccessful, he would take his sweet sweet time walking to the dugout, pouting the entire way. He misplayed several balls in the outfield, and showed poor plate discipline. The last thing the Brewers need to add is a whiney overrated outfielder who thinks 40,000 people payed to see his circus of a baseball game.
  18. And again, if Johnny Estrada had a high school kids arm instead of a 3rd graders, that would have been a DP ball. If I was managing against the Crew, and Estrada was behind the dish, I would run everyone that got on first base.
