Looks like he got hurt while he was batting -
Jeffress is warming up
-
Anderson is a gas can

The Milwaukee sports media is laughably weak
-
He has deserved it more often than today. Maybe this is the game where the rest of the world is able to see that CC is in over his head when it comes to mangaing a baseball game. Agreed. He deserves 95% of the crap he gets for his poor BP management. FS Wisconsin showed about 25 seconds of CC’s postgame press conference.

I’ve never seen this much backlash against Counsell both on here, Twitter and radio following a game. Good to see. He deserves it today.
-
Unreal. Pitching Lyles here is inexplicable. I’m sure he’ll give a surly answer to the media when asked why.

Braun hurt again?

Cubs sure seem to throw tantrums when they don’t get their way
-
Yup, the Cubs pulling that win out of their butts with David freakin’ Bote hitting a walk off grand slam down to his last strike was so predictable. Especially after Madson started to HBP guys.

Saw that coming from a mile away

Wonder if Soria’s injury is related to reduced warm-up time in the pen
-
I just don’t understand how you can have one of the best relievers in baseball in your own and be so reluctant to utilize him
-
The local media covering the Brewers and Bucks is comically weak and inept
-
If he hasn't figured out by now that a walk prone, HR prone pitcher is a bad option for a closer, I don't know why this would change his mind. Hopefully this ugly display was egregious enough for Counsell to get the message
-
I hope that’s a lesson learned for Counsell. Knebel is not to be trusted anymore

He just can’t be allowed to pitch in high leverage situations anymore
-
Starting to feel bad for this guy...

School now 1/20 with the Brewers
-
So glad to have Soria in the pen. His addition was a great move and a game like tonight shows why

I follow the team closely and forgot a couple of those guys even played for the Brewers. Repressed memories maybe I've also literally never heard of Jake Elmore or Ramon Flores. It looks like three players are currently on active MLB rosters. The Sky Sox lineup tonight is probably better. I had forgotten about Flores — I looked up his bref page and saw that he appeared in 104 games for the Brewers in 2016. I’ve truly repressed those memories

Not sure I can muster the energy to stay up until 1 am to watch Wade Miley walk 7 guys
