  1. One of the worst NFL games you’ll ever see. Also, hilarious and heartbreaking for all those that bet Vikings -14.
  2. I agree that structural changes are needed. But when the dust settles, I think this will go down as one of the biggest World Series chokes in the modern era. Toronto outscored and outhit the Dodgers by a significant margin, and didn’t commit an error. Lots of devastating WS losses in recent memory (Cleveland 2016, Texas 2011, etc.), but this one takes the cake.
  3. I hate the bunt but I hate pulling Bichette for IKF as a pinch runner even more. The Blue Jays were the better team in this series and they blew it.
  4. I think we are in the midst of an all-timer tonight
  5. Nearly every single Toronto at bat is quality and competitive.
  6. Pitching depth was not an issue in the NLCS, but I suspect it would have been an issue had the series gone to 6-7 games.
  7. This franchise in road playoff games has been terrible. 6-22 all time. 10 straight losses and counting. And 3-19 dating back to Game 2 of the 1982 World Series.
  8. Hope Yelich gets traded this winter
  9. Hope the plan goes something like this: Koenig (1), Quintana (4), Miz (3), Megill (1). Win. Then I don’t know how on Earth we get through Friday and Saturday.
  10. Local and national TV ratings have been up significantly during the entire regular season and playoffs. Fan interest overall is trending upwards, not down.
  11. Boots on the ground here. Let’s just say that a lot of our fans sold their tickets
  12. Sure it’s allowed. Gasser got “injured” today.
  13. The front office absolutely has to swap Gasser for Myers for Game 5
  14. That team had their best SP on the mound in Game 5. Not cobbling together a bullpen game with a bunch of overused relievers, possibly in front of a 50/50 crowd.
  15. If you’re looking for an optimistic comparison: 2011 NLCS Game 3 (the Kotsay game). Cardinals scored all 4 of their runs in the bottom of the 1st. Brewers managed to score three times but couldn’t tie. Lost 4-3. The next day, the Brewers went on to win 4-2.
  16. I would think Priester would be available for a couple innings on Saturday (yikes)
  17. With the exception of the A-team NFL PBP guys, virtually all of the people calling national games have a day job with an individual team. Including the PBP for TBS in this series. With Anderson no longer doing the NBA, he’ll likely retain his reduced role in order to keep Levering around.
  18. 8 pm start on Monday. Hope this doesn’t deter our fans from not selling their tickets
  19. For the division series, the concern is the offense. If they advance, the concern is pitching depth for two potential longer series with fewer off days.
  20. There’s zero incentive to push for the 1 seed.
  21. The Brewers dropping to the 2 seed would obviously mean that the team has hit a really ugly skid in the final 3 weeks. But it probably would result in a more preferable DS matchup and the 3 straight home games in the LCS might be an advantage.
