  1. It is looking like the Cubs/Nats game on Thursday will have to be relocated from DC due to the hurricane. I’m seeing some chatter about Milwaukee potentially hosting this game — if it comes to that, I hope the Brewers absolutely do not offer up Miller Park as a potential venue.
  2. Fortunately he wouldn’t be eligible for the playoff roster
  3. I think it’ll be Thursday. MLB needs to keep 10/1 open for a potential division tiebreaker and the 10/2 NL Wild Card game seems pretty firm. That’s ESPN’s only playoff game, so I can’t see them being OK with it being moved to the afternoon the next day.
  4. If Wilson hadn't served up a meatball to Harper, they'd be just fine with it. Plus, they even got another at bat to try and even the game up before the game was delayed. Apparently there was a ceremony honoring Jayson Werth between the two games that went longer than expected. This was in the Nationals “bag of tricks” to screw with the Cubs. So much angst and saltiness over that (and asking if the game can be suspended until tomorrow and not declared final) on Cubs Twitter.
  5. It’ll have to be Thursday since 10/1 would be needed for a division tiebreaker — the NL wild Card game is scheduled for 10/2 and that date probably can’t be moved unless that game is rained out.
  6. There’s so much whining on Cubs Twitter about this rain delay.
  7. The forecast tomorrow in DC looks awful. With only a couple weeks left, I hope that MLB reschedules the game Thursday, forcing the Cubs to fly out after a Wednesday night game in Chicago and then fly back for a Friday day game. However, I’m concerned that they may not reschedule and just require the teams to play on 10/1 only if the game could impact the Cubs playoff position
  8. Ugh, there’s just something about 4-0 leads for this team
  9. For what it’s worth, maybe that 2011 team was so fun to watch because they absolutely feasted on the 100-loss Cubs and Astros — at least after the All-Star break.
  10. How many times do we have to replay this scenario?
  11. For the NLDS, if we win the division, homes games will be Thursday/Friday. We win the WC — games are Sunday and Monday.
  12. ... and they appropriately waited until the game was done Unfortunately, 90% of the Cub fans at the game were already at the state line. And the other 10% left for Poto at the end of the 7th.
  13. Hamels and Cubs fans seem to think that every Brewers fan that would have attended today's game if it were against another opponent was in attendance for today's game against the Cubs - and the Cubs fans are just filling in the rest of the seats. Not sure why Hamels and Cubs Twitter have had a problem understanding this for years. They can't seem to grasp that a lot of fans and/or season ticket holders actively avoid attending the Cubs games because they can sell the tickets for a profit and avoid the terrible environment.
  14. There are a ton of comments on Twitter from Cubs fans talking about how their fan base drives the Brewers overall attendance. Why is this so difficult for them to understand? If the Brewers were playing the Reds today, there'd still be 34-35k in attendance. They may have won their World Series, but at least online, they are still as insecure as ever.
  15. Cole Hamels comments on the fan ratio today: https://sports.yahoo.com/boom-roasted-cole-hamels-absolutely-223328552.html
  16. The booing of Braun from the same fans that slobbered over Sammy Sosa for years is just hilarious
  17. Do they tow from the VA hospital now? I sure hope so. I just hope those dumb Cubs bros think they hacked the system and they walk back to the lot with there car nowhere to be found
  18. I was walking into the game today from the bike and walking trail by the VA and there was a group of Cubs fans trying to drive down that trail towards MP, looking for the “free parking they had heard about.” I’m sure they’ll find their free parking in the VA parking lot — I hope they get towed.
