  1. .500 woot! Let's destroy the Dodgers, now.
  2. Mota needs a walk to get in the zone....jeez
  3. The bullpen may have a rough 6 days ahead of itself. I'm all for conserving bullpen arms. EDIT: Unrelated, but Rafael Furcal is on the DL for the Dodgers. Good news for the Crew
  4. I'm done defending our fans after Saturday. They booed Yost/Gagne for IBBing Pujols with runners on 2nd & 3rd with one out. Utter stupidity, I tell ya.
  5. Red Sox have Sheets slated for Friday v. TBA: http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/news/probable_pitchers.jsp?c_id=bos
  6. Friday: around Pesky's Pole Saturday: 3rd base infield
  7. Wow, scary. Let's take this series tomorrow.
  8. When's the last time a future HOFer made 3 outs on the basepaths against the Brewers. Lucky day for us!
  9. Wow, Albert Pujols is having trouble on the bases today
  10. I hate the squeeze call. You have to play for more than one run, especially considering the way your closer has been throwing. Call me crazy, but I have a striking suspicion that Yost was attempting to outwit his counterpart, TLR. How often do you see this team attempt a squeeze play!?! Almost never. IMO, the circumstance was not appropriate.
  11. I don't get the Gagne signing. He struggled mightily with the Red Sox. Face it, they wouldn't let him sniff action during a competitive playoff game (sans the 11-inning loss versus the Indians). And then, Melvin gives him $10 million to be the closer, with a similar situation here in Milwaukee!? I don't understand how a collection of intelligent baseball minds here on brewerfan.net, and, heck, even nsbb.com, could think that Yost is a baffoon, and yet, there is not even a thought of firing him? Melvin's loyalty is frustrating.
  12. No way. What makes you think anything will change?
  13. WSSP postgame reports that Isringhausen had a meltdown after the game in the clubhouse. We'll probably be seeing a story on that soon.
  14. Anybody else have a feeling that Ned Yost has managed his last game?? I don't know why, but I think that'll be the big news tomorrow.
  15. I hate that Carlos freakin Villanueva was our most prolific hitter tonight. I'm disgusted.
  16. So, tonight, they'll actually get runners on base, but strand them all!? Ugh.....
  17. Oh, I know, but it's too tempting. I'll turn on The Office or the NBA Playoffs, but I know I won't be able to help but to turn back to FSN. The Brewers are killin' me tonight, again.
  18. Ugh, why does my bike have to be broken. I could be enjoying this fine May evening rather than forcing myself to watch this crap.
  19. Chris Ianetta gives the Rockies the lead with a triple in the 8th. Can't you feel the beginning of the Brewers' ascention in the standings?
  20. I believe you're absolutely correct. The attendance is expected to phenomenal this summer; three million could really happen. If the Brewers were to play at, say, a 10 under .500 clip the entire summer, how bad of a hit would the attendance take? This is a tough pill for me to swallow: I desperately want the Brewers to fill Miller Park every night, but if that happens, I don't believe any changes will happen. IMO, a terrible collapse would have to happen for the attendance to drop, so I think it would take a lot for Yost to get the boot. I know I stated if they're 17-27 on May 19, I believe Yost will get fired. That was a best-case scenario for me. To me, a revenue drop = Yost is gone.
  21. Jorge de la Rosa is starting for Colorado tomorrow...can anybody say 7 GB???
  22. With the way they are playing, does the opponent really matter?
  23. Let's say they lose Thursday and win Friday. Then, if they lose the next 3 against St. Louis, get swept by the Dodgers, and then get swept in Boston, I think it's over for Ned. That'll put them at 17-27. I think Mark A. and Melvin wouldn't be willing to pull the trigger and fire Yost until it gets really bad.
