  1. You are the weakest link.....goodbye. Seriously, that Reds lineup looks pretty tough, other than Paulie. This may be a tough game to watch. And Corey Patterson, too *knocks on wood*.
  2. I love Buffalo Wild Wings. Cactus League Nachos at Miller Park are gooood...but cause extreme thirst. South Park > Family Guy
  3. Wow, that's Pirates baseball for ya.
  4. They still very well may win 90 games, but it's going to take awhile to clean up after this start. It'll take a month for them to dig themselves out of this hole. Considering that they were at home facing KC and CHW, there has to be an element of concern. That bullpen is not good at all.
  5. I'll second that. It's simple a great movie, but I just don't understand the ending with Tommy Lee Jones. It should have ended earlier.
  6. Ennder: You're right. Bush has been bad on the road since he's been in Milwaukee. Think back to mid-June when Bush was on the threshold of losing his job, right before he won at the Metrodome. I think we would have fared better w/ CV today, Bush Friday.
  7. Looked like ball 4 to me Guy probably just wanted to get outta there
  8. I had a problem with Ned starting Bush today -- he should have started Villanueva. When was the last time Dave Bush had a good start at Wrigley?
  9. The Packers must have a flagship in Milwaukee. The NFL considers Milwaukee a primary market for the Packers (the only primary market without an NFL team) for two reasons: the Packers used to play in MKE and the Packers depend on Milwaukee. So, all Packers games must be broadcasted on local TV without interruption in MKE and they must have a flagship station here, too. I agree, though. WAUK is pathetic.
  10. McD's: free meal every shift, 50% discount on every meal, excluding dollar menu. I had a short gig there, thankfully.
  11. I cheer for the up and coming team each season. The team that comes out of nowhere to seriously compete, like the White Sox in 2005 and Tigers in 2006.
  12. Haha, that's a godsend. Today was way too stressful. I'll need the day off tomorrow.
  13. We blew another 3 run lead!! I think we're going to have a closer crisis real soon.
  14. Earn your 10 million. I'm seeing flashbacks to June 29!
  15. Gagne meets the heart of the CHC order. Please, please look good, Gagne.
  16. Ugh, is the downward spiral beginning?
  17. NL EAST NY Mets Philadelphia Atlanta Washington Florida NL CENTRAL Milwaukee Chi Cubs Cincinnati Houston St. Louis Pittsburgh NL WEST Arizona LA Dodgers Colorado San Diego San Francisco WC: Philadelphia I think people are really overestimating the Cubs. Their rotation isn't that great and the Brewers have a younger, more powerful lineup. Barring a total swoon, like a 9-18 August, I think the Brewers finally get the monkey off their back. AL EAST Boston NY Yankees Toronto Tampa Bay Baltimore AL CENTRAL Detroit Cleveland Chi White Sox Minnesota Kansas City AL WEST Seattle LA Angels Texas Oakland WC: LA Angels World Series: Detroit 4, NY Mets 2
  18. I bet 90% of the people who has posted negatively about ESPN on bf.net watch ESPN and read espn.com all the time. So whatever ESPN is doing is working because you're all still watching. I'm in that 90% too. Where else am I going to get my nightly sports fix? I'm flipping back and forth between SC and FSN Final Score, and I prefer. Frankly, the picture is crisper on ESPN and the commentary, though often devoid of intelligence, is more interesting. And, yes, I do read ESPN.com. I hate that I have to pay for their good content, but they do have some interesting stuff. Sportscenter is not even close to their worst show. Here are some of the reasons I have animosity towards ESPN: -First Take in the AM is hard to watch. They pretend to be a Today show for the sports world. -Why is Skip Bayless still on the payroll? -Disney ruined the NBA on TV. I miss the days when the league wasn't on ESPN. It seemed like a bigger deal back then. -MNF has become a joke. They don't need a celebrity guest, or 2 sideline reporters. Watch a game on NBC or CBS. No frills, just the game. It is so much enjoyable to watch. -Around the Horn. Why does Reali get to decide who makes the best points? -Naturally, they hype what they show on their networks. Lots of emphasis on the NBA and the women's tournament. You hear very, very little about the NCAA Women's Tournament outside of ESPN. Literally no NHL analysis. On the other hand, PTI is a wonderful show and I really enjoy watching SC on Sunday nights during the NFL season. Berman is annoying, but ESPN does a great job with NFL highlights.

  22. Sorry, but WAUK sucks. I was listening to the Marquette game on Thursday afternoon on 540 in Milwaukee County. Everytime I went under a bridge, the signal went completely fuzzy. I'm sure it'll be hard to hear through the fuzz at night.
  23. Its just unfortunate that a lot of Brewer fans are looking through rose colored glasses and solely banking on all of our young players to step it up to the next level. What's the next level? The Brewers squandered a playoff berth last year. They need to continue to do what they did last year, excluding an August swoon.
  24. SI has really turned into drivel. Yes, there is still a certain prestige to being on the cover of the magazine, and they have great photography, but the writing and reporting is crap. The only good reporter/writer left at SI is Peter King. Rememeber: they picked an Angels/Dodgers World Series last year, and the team the picked to win the Super Bowl (Saints) didn't make the playoffs or even achieve a winning record.
