  1. It's games like tonight that convince me that this is going to be a bad season for the Brewers. Not just disappointing, but bad. Possibly 95-loss bad. They just don't have wins in them, and 95 losses is the pace they're on now. Happy for Cappy, but that's about it. It already feels like the vast majority of the Septembers that Brewers have played out over the past 25 years. How 'bout sending 10 people home unhappy and rallying here, Crew.
  2. Ten under, 9.5 back. Is it too early to be demoralized?
  3. I had almost forgotten Counsell was still on the roster. I guess I haven't been watching that closely lately, and I don't even feel bad about it.
  4. Brewers - Marlins: Little League Baseball at Big League Prices!
  5. Nice pickup and throw to the infield by Corey on that single.
  6. I think a lot of the homestand was kind of a mirage. The Brewers finally caught/made a few breaks and were thus able to win two series against the Astros and Mets that they just as easily could have lost. They were very close to being shut out twice in three days, and were not good for most of the game in which they ended Lindstrom's save streak. The sad thing is, for those lamenting the lack of 'breaks', I think we saw the upper limit for the Brewers this season when catching said breaks.
  7. 11-16 3 - 2 - 2 = 7
  8. I'm waiting for the crowd to start chanting D-F-A! Now that would be something.
  9. I agree with these points. I think Wolf felt like he was getting squeezed though, and I think that contributed to everything. That breaker high and away could become a problem if he misses too far in with it.
  10. Well, he's getting squeezed enough. And it sucks becauses it's hard to squeeze a knuckleballer in return.
  11. Beats the heck out of losing. String a few more of these together, get back to .500 by the end of June and maybe we'll have a nice summer yet.
  12. If you predicted both of those, with Braun and Fielder both healthy throughout, and ALSO still had the Crew at 8 games under and 9 games back on Memorial Day weekend, that should win you a large sum of money.
  13. Had to know tonight wouldn't be easy. With a win this will be the best set of results in a Sunday - Saturday week of games (5-1) for the Crew all season. Kind of amazing when you consider they were pretty darned close to losing a home series to the lowly Astros (and did so only by ending a very long blown save streak), and were one Corey Hart swing of the bat yesterday from possibly being shut out for the second time in three days.
  14. For the first time in a long time for the Brewers this seems like a big-time major league baseball game. Two top-flight pitchers both on thier games will do that. Edit: Either BA read this, or we're thinking alike.
  15. Fat, drunk and 10 games under at home is no way to go through life, son. Let's get Soup a memorable and unexpected win and turn this thing around right now.
  16. Not to get back on teh luck meme, but when you look at Braun's results you can see the luck factor. Other times luck is brouht up and you just can't buy it. And, on an unrelated note, cite all the stats you want, I'll still take Morneau over Prince.
  17. I'm hoping for 21 innings at this point. It can't hurt our pen as much as it will Minnesota's.
  18. Everyone that hits the ball hard to that particular spot ends up with F9. Coincidence or is something knocking it down over there?
