  1. I'm surprised that anyone is surprised. At this point the only thing I almost feel bad about is not feeling bad anymore.
  2. The best part of this, no matter what happens going forward in the game, is that Yo doesn't get tagged with a loss.
  3. No offense, pen, but I'm looking for another 2 runs minimum here to feel good about the bottom half of the inning.
  4. I'm not even the least bit excited about this opportunity yet. I didn't realize exactly how cynical/apathetic I've gotten about this group so early in the season until just now. And yet I still watch.
  5. In losses this month the Brewwers have scored: 0, 3, 2, 3, 2, 5, 6, 2, 3, 4, 4, 3 Even with really good pitching they probably lose 8 or 9 of those 12 anyway. Let's quit pointing fingers at this portion or that of the team. It's just a bad baseball team all the way around any way you cut it right now.
  6. I have rotten allergy problems and I still decided to yard work rather than see the start of this one. Time well spent, I see.
  7. In good Wisconsin-related sports news, Joe Pavelski from Plover/SPASH/UW has an assist for the Sharks in tonight's virtual must-win against the Blackhawks. SHould have had a goal, but it was rightly disallowed.
  8. If this is true at all, then pretty much all the players should be gotten rid of, too.
  9. Other than left field, and third base when Casey is usually there, the Twins are better at every position on the field.
  10. I'm guessing you mean this in a general sense with respect to the season, and not with respect to Soup's last inning.
  11. I'm going out on a limb here, but I'm going to post the hypothesis that last night was the aberration.
  12. What was the Bush line in teh game at MP a few years back? Didn't he give up 8 in teh first without getting an out or something like that?
  13. Yep, this is Dave Bush against the Twins. I've seen this episode already.
  14. Wonder what the Bush pitch count will be in the 1st? IIRC, the Twins have jumped on Bush early the past two seasons, knowing he tries to get ahead early. At least Braunie insured that the Brewers worked Blackburn for more than 5 pitches.
  15. Odds on a rainout tonight? Radar looks OK to the west but it's not such a nice day here in central WI.
  16. As happy as I am about that performance by Ax, this could turn into the biggest gut-punch of the streak yet if the bottom of the 9th goes badly.
  17. Zaun should have missed that one too. Catch an early plane to the Cities and play a doubleheader next time through Pittsburgh.
  18. Maybe we should start a Houston scoreboard watch concurrent with every game thread. You know, just to make it seem like there is something bigger at stake.
