  1. Thing is , that may have been his third best pitch of the night.
  2. Mavybe the 3B just can't see the ball that well coming off the bat or something. A fat guy with a teflon shirt sitting in the wrong spot maybe?
  3. OK, have to give Yost credit for putting all the righties in the lineup. I doesn't hurt that RJ stinks tonight, but still.
  4. I'll answer Bill's question: I saw a kid miss second in a regional game this year. Team appealed and he was out. His team lost 1-0.
  5. Maybe my TV isn't working right, but I think that strike 3 was just a bit outside.
  6. That guy may end up with a fractured testicle.
  7. Wait a minute. Shouldn't Rivera be hitting cleanup?
  8. I saw a similar play in a little league game last week. And giving that error to Hart is ridiculous.
  9. Is it true that in Milwaukee area public batting cages the lob setting on the machine is labelled 'Bush'?
  10. As I posted above, I wish you guys the best with Charter, but I wouldn't hold my breath on this issue. With Comcast reaching a deal with the Big Ten Network, Charter is going to have enough headaches just dealing with the pressure to come up with a deal of their own, and get all the technical issues of providing it to customers (in SD, much less HD) worked out, before college football starts. Providing FSN in HD for just a handful of games will be way down on their list of priorities. I went round and round with Charter on a bunch of issues, most importantly my HD situation, a while back. They lost me as a customer forever, and, as the saying goes, my only regret is that I didn't dump them sooner.
  11. For a more exciting offensive performance, check out Germany in the 2008 Euro final. They haven't scored yet, but they came close. At least the Brewers have only been figuratively kicked in the groin. Germany's Klose was not as lucky.
  12. How are the Brewers "supposed" to beat the Twins? We're not talking about a AAAA squad here. Their record is virtually the same as Milwaukee's, and they are a more well-rounded team offensively. That, and their clenaup hitter doesn't just stink right now.
  13. Other than the CHW game, Slowey's WHIP is like 0.92 in his last 7 starts. SO he may have nothing, but apparently the opposing batters have nothing, too.
  14. Dear Brewers, I hope you were watching the Twins hitters. They have what might be called a good plate approach. They understand that finding a way to score other than swingin for the fences is a good way to win ballgames, and it's a good way to get a lead so that maybe later you can try to go long against a guy like Sheets.
  15. Advantage Twins, so far. Twins at least have a plan for attacking Sheets. Brewers just searching at the plate right now.
  16. The Twins are simply a more complete team than the Brewers. They can do a lot of different things. Maybe not a lot of things great, but a lot of things good enough. They hit for better average and their OBP advantage and better plate approach seem to negate the Brewers OPS advantage. Their bullpen is far superior to Milwaukee's and the starters other than Sheets are comparable. This isn't a slam on the Brewers, just a tip of the cap to a team that seems to do things the right way. I'm not saying the Twins are "better" overall, but it's hard to just dismiss them or feel like this is a team the Brewers "should" beat.
  17. That's exactly what Prince does when he is going bad.
  18. Well, Prince's AB will say a lot about a lot of things. If the slump continues, ,he may snap the bat over his thigh.
  19. If they beat Nathan again, I'll run naked through the streets. (THey didn't beat him in the sense that they won the game, but at least 3TO extended it in MP).
  20. Yeah, those pansies in Minnesota. Always winning with girlie ball and flukes.
  21. Guy just gives up a walk and Dillon hacks at first pitch?
  22. That high curve wasn't a strike for McClung.
  23. THat's what happens sometimes when you don't strike out.
