  1. Oh, you're right guys. The Tigers are just going to trade their 28 year old who's posted 7 WAR in his last 394 innings who has three more years of team control for guys like Ray and Dubon because they really like us.
  2. You're parting with Hiura or you're not getting him.
  3. Boy, that would be enough for us to finish 29th out of 29 in the bidding.
  4. This. Rays fans will support a team, they just need to not put it at the end of a peninsula.
  5. Just got home and checking some highlights. Could Braun have given any less effort on Iglesias' home run?
  6. Totally off-topic, but what happens to Miller Park Way when they change the stadium name? Will it be American Family Field Way? Ugh, that's a mouthful. Could just do AmFam Way. Don't really think it's a big deal anyways.
  7. They want both cities to build stadiums. Typical MLB doing just about the dumbest thing possible. What is the smart move here? The current situation in Tampa needs to be resolved so something needs to be done. Not alienating a fan base? Threatening to move permanently is a lot better option than saying we'll play the first half of our home games in Tampa and the second half in Montreal, both with garbage stadiums and we know neither city is going to build a new stadium if they're only getting half the games.
  8. They want both cities to build stadiums. Typical MLB doing just about the dumbest thing possible.
  9. Outside of the pitcher the Braves don't have a player in their lineup tonight with an OBP under .328 or a SLG% under .458.
  10. To put it in perspective the next closest corner outfielder is Mookie Betts with 10, then David Peralta with 6. So yeah, he's just so far ahead of everyone else that it helps him value wise.
  11. If you believe in bWAR it isn't even a 2 man race. Bellinger must be the best corner outfielder ever while Yelich must be worse than Domingo and Khris Davis. DRS has Bellinger as a +19 so far this year in 524.1 innings.
  12. [sarcasm]I’m here for Moose at SS.[/sarcasm] Clancy will fight you to have Braun there.
  13. It’d be totally cool with me if I never saw that Wisconsin Vision commercial with Coshun and Augustine again.
  14. CB Bucknor with several “I don’t want to be here” called strikes this inning. The strikeout to Renfroe and the first pitch to Kinsler were hilariously awful calls.
  15. Imagine trading Fernando Tatis Jr. for the crap years of James Shields.
  16. Arcia getting base running lessons from Perez.
  17. Wingenter hates the ants that live 4 feet in front of home plate.
  18. I just don’t get this constant need to police how people react to games. It’s not just you doing it, it happens all the time here when people post negative thoughts about the terrible baseball they’re watching. You do realize this is still a 1st place team, right? Read these IGTs and you'd think we're watching the Orioles. It gets grating after awhile. I know, I know ... just ignore it. Why does it matter that they’re in first place. You’re watching a singular game. Would you rather people just not post when they’re playing bad? And yes, if it bothers you, ignore it. People shouldn’t kowtow to people that don’t like when others point out anything negative. Do you think Orioles fans should never post anything positive in oriolefan.net game threads because they suck?
  19. It's a no-brainer! He's only got two pitches, after all. So did Ben Sheets. Most starters throw 2 pitches about 90+ pct of the time. There's no reason to pigeon hole him into either role right now. Sheets' two pitches were plus though and he had great control and command. Peralta doesn't have any of that. As far as most starters throw two pitches 90+% of the time. The only qualified starters that have those types of numbers this year are Davies and Hendricks, two changeup specialists. Everyone else is like a 50/30/20 split or a 60/20/20.
  20. I don’t take direction from people that have cooties.
  21. Who needs to complain about the offense when we have the bounty that is our pitching staff?
  22. A poster on realgm is a co-writer of this.
