  1. This strike zone is hot garbage. 5 inches off the plate? Strike! 3 inches below the knee? Strike!
  2. Nobody has said that.
  3. He's hit pretty well at every level. What makes you think the bat will go into hibernation in the majors? Not trying to argue, just trying to understand your reasoning. Arcia hit .284/.342/.407 in the minors. Dubon has hit .301/.348/.424. Arcia was also younger at every level than Dubon. They're both basically the same age yet Arcia was in Low-A in 2013 while Dubon didn't make it until 2015, when Arcia was in AA. So basically the same stats as Arcia while being older than Arcia at every level and we see Arcia isn't exactly an offensive dynamo. Could Dubon be a good hitter? I guess. Is it likely he's even an average hitter? I'd probably bet the under.
  4. Nice shoulder by Hiura. Should get on NFL Films Best Hits compilation.
  5. Exactly, age matters. If a 20 year old is tearing up AAA, every evaluator is going to be more impressed than if a 26 year old is doing it. Wander Franco isn't the best prospect in baseball because he's hitting .341/.410/.560 between A and A+. He's the best prospect in baseball because he's hitting that well (in addition to being an average at worst defender at the most premium defensive position) as an 18 year old.
  6. There's a huge difference between a just turned 23 year old putting up big numbers in AAA than an almost 30 year old.
  7. Sure there is. Relievers are so volatile. Edwin Diaz was every bit as good as Hader was last year, if not better and now he has an ERA pushing 6 with a FIP of around 4 and is giving up hard contact nearly half the time. Same is true for Blake Treinen and Jose Leclerc and Jose Alvarado and Jeurys Familia and Joakim Soria and Jeremy Jeffress and Dellin Betances.
  8. Did you watch the 10th? Junior was putting almost every pitch on a tee. He should go buy a lottery ticket for how fortunate he was to get 3 outs. It was atrocious. Yeah, one of the outs was a pitcher and the two other outs left the bats at 97.8 and 105.9 respectively. He was really bad tonight.
  9. If Melky gets launch angle he would’ve had a loss. That was a rocket, if it’s in the air it’s prolly still rolling. There should be a rule where if you blow a save you are ineligible for a win. Give the win to other Guerra as his parting gift back to San Antonio.
  10. I'm doing everything I can to try to get a catcher's interference or something if I'm Musgrove.
  11. Exit velocities against Junior Guerra this game. 105.2 99.6 97.8 113.2 105.9 Two of those had an expected BA of .900 or more, another of .600, another of .350 and one of .140. What I'm saying is he's been extremely lucky to get 3 outs from those.
  12. Hopefully working on some sell orders. With two of our top 3 hitters being free agents after the season, selling makes a helluva lot more sense than buying right now.
  13. I just want both Guerras to warm up at the same time so we can have double Guerra action in the bullpen.
  14. Listen to Brian say the word amateur and you'll want to kick a kitten.
  15. Brian can go too.
  16. There is no cogent argument that could be made for this.
  17. You don't build around players like Hader.
