  1. I love how a game that decides home field advantage in the World Series, the American League has a leadoff hitter that shouldn't be anywhere near the roster.
  2. Don't understand pulling Peralta. The bullpen has sucked lately and is probably tired and Peralta is at like 80 pitches, so it's not like he needs to be pulled with 115 or something.
  3. Yeah, he does not have an analyst voice at all. Everything is forced.
  4. Not that I think we will or should make a move for Hamels but he can block a trade here. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2014/07/cole-hamels-can-block-trades-to-twenty-clubs.html
  5. Probably to Miami. I can't believe Bosh went back to Miami. I would've taken that Houston offer and ran.
  6. Go get 'em tomorrow, boys. And show the passion I did in the 9th inning. -RRR
  7. So you would rather be in last place and play for nothing than be in first place and go through a tough patch? Nobody said that. People are frustrated and venting because this team could actually do something. The teams in the 90s and early 00s couldn't. You seriously don't see the difference in why people are mad? You lose 10 of 11 when you're 19 games up with a 6.5 game lead in the division and that lead gets knocked down to 1 game in less than two weeks, people are going to get frustrated, they're going to vent and they should. You lose 10 of 11 when you started the stretch at 40-68 nobody is going to get that frustrated because the team was bad so it's not really surprising and you don't really have anything to play for.
  8. Pretty sure most of us did. The difference is we knew those teams were bad, so when they lost 10 of 11 everybody was kind of like whatever, we know it's not a good team. This team was 19 games over .500 and 6.5 games up in the division less than two weeks ago. Now the lead is down to one game with the team that has owned us for the past few years right on our tail.
  9. You knew this game wasn't over because it's Gallardo against the Cardinals.
  10. One of The Netherlands' missed penalty kicks almost went in.
  11. RHP Jimmy Nelson will start for the #Brewers on Saturday vs. St. Louis. RHP Marco Estrada to the bullpen.
  12. LHP Wei-Chung Wang placed on the 15-day DL with left shoulder tightness. RHP Jimmy Nelson to be recalled from Triple-A @nashvillesounds.
  13. "Welp, might as well get him now that the game is out of reach." -RRR
  14. Scooter swings at a pitch that's going to bounce if he doesn't make contact, Aramis check swings on a ball that's going to hit his hands. The offense is embarrassing.
  15. Uhh, Germany is just scoring every time they attack. They're amazing technically but I think Brazil just kind of gave up.
  16. Well, unfortunately, we don't have many elite prospects to give up. Outside of Nelson, our cupboards are somewhat bare. That's not to say we have no talent in the minors, but none of the other prospects in our system have any wow factor that would allow us to add a premium pitcher. I just hope that by the time Jimmy Nelson comes up we still have a lead in the division. I think what he was saying is the Brewers should take their opportunity to call up their top prospect who's dominating in AAA to replace the soft tossing castoff of the Nationals, not that they should go out and trade for Price or something. And Milone was pitching far better than Estrada is when Milone got kicked out.
  17. He's not even a 40% 3 point shooter in college. Now he needs to extend his range a couple feet and at least hit at the same clip he hit in college to cover up his lack of any other skills. I just don't see it. He'd be good in Europe though.
  18. Please get him out of the rotation. This is ridiculous.
  19. And here it is. Brewers Player Dev ‏@BrewersPD RHP Rodolfo Fernandez has been traded to Oakland in exchange for International Signing Bonus Slot #57 ($339,000) Edit: Assuming the $3.2 million figure, that still puts the Brewers between 5-10% over their current bonus pool which means they are taxed a 100% overage and can't sign an international free agent for more than $500K next year.
