  1. That was God's way of saying stop with the stupid twitter polls.
  2. It did. Just the wrong way.
  3. Let's go Dortmund!
  4. Don't reporters get to ask umpires like one question after the game? If I'm a reporter and I saw that I go down and ask him whose fault was it?
  5. Didn't we have an umpire thread? I can't find it. This awful call courtesy of Jeff Nelson. It reminds me of the call in Yankee Stadium last year. Show me the ball and it's an out. http://i.imgur.com/IWtNLI7.gif
  6. It's pretty disturbing (and very Herb Kohl like) that the owner goes above his baseball people and essentially forces a free agent signing. I hate that. If you're just going to go above your GM's head, why even have a GM?
  7. Couple of grand slammers and we're right back in this thing. Assuming we can stop ourselves from making outs on the bases to the point where they can be loaded.
  8. And we have an umpire miss a check swing that puts the count at 3-1 instead of 2-2.
  9. Peralta really isn't pitching that poorly. A bunch of these hits are ground balls. One of the hits should've been an error. The stuff is electric, the ground balls are there, the strikeouts aren't yet but saying you hate watching Peralta pitch during this game is kind of stupid. The Dodgers aren't lacing liner after liner and getting extra base hits off of him.
  10. LOL at that being a hit. Not only are the players horrible, the official scorer is too.
  11. LOL at Brian. "You can't go through the season with a quote, unquote personal catcher. Not when you got a guy like Lucroy who swings the bat as well as he does."
  12. LOL at Brian. "You can't go through the season with a quote, unquote personal catcher. Not when you got a guy like Lucroy who swings the bat as well as he does."
  13. Andrew Gruman‏@AndrewGruman32m Kyle Lohse won't start Saturday with elbow irritation. Mike Fiers will start against Pittsburgh instead. #Brewers Andrew Gruman‏@AndrewGruman8m Ron Roenicke is hopeful that it's just one start for Lohse. Says he's penciled in to start next Thursday in Minnesota.
  14. Congratulations. You named a bunch of busts. Would you like it if I went through the 2005 draft and listed all the quality players drafted after 17? Yes teams in contention would likely trade for Lohse. They aren't going to give up anything to get him imo. Too much risk. Too old of a pitcher, too expensive and just not good enough to garner a Segura or even a Hellweg or a Pena. We'd probably get salary relief and maybe a mid level prospect that might turn into a reliever or utility player.
  15. Odd that the complaints come up in a game thread. It's about a particular game where people watch with real emotions about what's happening at that particular moment. A game thread isn't meant to have statistical or analytical posts. It's supposed to be a bunch of fans talking about the game that's currently going on. If the Brewers are playing well, posts will be positive. If the Brewers are playing bad, posts will be negative. If people don't want that, don't read game threads.
  16. And another excuse that doesn't fly. So because there was a bad pick in the draft in that particular spot in a particular year means the Brewers would make that same choice this year? What if the Yankees drafted Matt Garza in 2005 at 17? Nobody wanted to give up their pick for him this year. What makes you think teams will want to give up as much or more value a year from now when he's older, more expensive and probably a worse pitcher?
  17. This never flies with me. So a draft class can be considered weak. That doesn't mean that you can't get a good player at 19 and with the lack of talent in our farm system, we need all the help we can get. We don't need to be signing pitchers in their mid 30s to 3 year deals with 8 figure salaries.
  18. Back to what this thread is about. Gennett is now down to .305/.352/.377 in the hitter friendly PCL.
  19. Not on the field related but can someone tell Sophia (and anyone else who says it) that there is no x in especially? Just like there is no t in across.
  20. Yet those numbers are still basically average in the NL. The NL average is .228/.334/.349/.683 and the Brewers are .213/.318/.367/.685.
  21. Out of 30 teams the Brewers are 13th (.255) in batting average, 14th (.341) in OBP, 11th (.419) in SLG% and 11th (.760) in OPS with RISP. So better than average in every category. If you shorten it to just the NL they are 6th in BA, 6th in OBP, 5th in SLG% and 5th in OPS.
  22. For those of you on twitter, this is a must follow.
