I went to Disney World once when I was in 3rd grade for family vacation. These are the things I remember from the trip. 1. Me freaking out when my mom told me we were flying there because I'm terrified of heights. 2. The crappy Days Inn we stayed at because our resort was booked the night we arrived. Also watching the Bucks/Magic game from the Days Inn. 3. My older brother cutting his leg on a palm tree he was trying to climb. 4. A dead, squished frog in the middle of the walkway on the way to the pool at the resort. 5. Not wanting to feed the dolphins because touching fish is gross. 6. Getting to hold a pan that was on fire for one of those performer guys at Epcot because my little brother cried when the guy asked him first. 7. Leaving Orlando in the middle of huge storms.
What's the big deal with the bunt? They were only down two so getting a runner on base makes sense and it may be their first baseman, but it's a first baseman with an OPS under .700. It's not like it's Prince Fielder bunting for a hit.
It makes sense to have Gomez bat 8th. He leads off an inning by getting on 1st, see if he can steal 2nd and then have the pitcher bunt him over to 3rd. Just like that a sac fly or ground ball depending on where the infield defense is playing leads to a run. Putting one of your lowest OBP guys in front of Braun and Ramirez is stupid.
I'm not rooting against the USA basketball team. I am rooting against Kobe though. I can't stand him and he's been garbage in the Olympics. Especially yesterday, he single handedly allowed Australia back in the game and then chucked a bunch of 3s to get his 20 points after the game was out of reach.
Also, Winter Olympics are a better bet anyways, not that we can get them because we have nothing for skiing. But everything that is needed for those is already built.
Where are you guys seeing people clamoring to get him back in this thread? The closest I've seen is someone saying they'd welcome him back to provide comic relief. Not exactly a ringing endorsement and not someone who sounds like he should be brought back.
