Pitch 4 and 5 were in almost the exact same location yet somehow one is a ball and one is a strike.

Nobody's clutch like Jeter. Strikes out and reaches because Avila couldn't block it. You can't teach that and you can't teach his good looks and charm.

If they want a power bat in right, why not keep Heyward? I can't believe some teams have this little patience with their young players. Heyward was a stud last year at age 21. This year he was hitting pretty much the same as last year until he went on the DL with an injured shoulder. Can't imagine it's easy to hit with an injured shoulder and who knows if it bothered him for the rest of the season. So yeah, I don't see the Braves trading him but if we could get him for Hart and prospects, I would pull the trigger in a second.

You have to think we're not going to get the 11 AM game on Saturday since that would be 9 AM in Phoenix. -
Are you watching Arizona?

Wow at the Rays!!

What a bomb!

Bill's excuses are just disgusting.

It would help if they could ease him in lower in the batting order, but since the rest of the hitters after Fielder suck, he kind of has to be there.

Bill Welke's got money on the Pirates.

chadomac wrote: I don't really understand why a manager would ever get traded. Why didn't the White Sox just fire Guillen? I'm surprised anyone wants him. Why fire him when you can trade him for a couple of prospects (what they expect in return)? Sure the prospects probably won't be good and they'll likely never be key contributors, but why not see? If they aren't contributors to the team, fine. If they are, you just got a decent player or two for a whiny manager.

Awful at bat by McGehee and come on Gomez, run him over.
-
Lucroy has been awful the last few months too and tonight as well. That at bat and he swung at ball 4 to end the 6th inning.
-
Such a scrub.
-
It's like a Yankees/Red Sox game. Three hours in and only in the 6th inning.

Ha, Counsell leading off.
