    A strain and a cramp are completely different. If it's actually just a cramp he might miss one start but probably wouldn't miss any time or just have his start pushed back a day or two.

    He has an OBP higher than one of our starting outfielders' OPS and almost as high as another starting outfielder's OPS. I'll take the chance on him running into one or drawing a walk over the other two.

    Says everything about our 6-9 hitters that a team is completely comfortable loading the bases to get to our 6th hitter in the 1st inning when their pitcher can't throw strikes.

    You want Turang, Contreras and Bauers at the top getting as many AB's as possible so the other options are Mitchell, Frelick, Jones, Hamilton and Ortiz. I'd probably put Mitchell there but Black is like 1 of 2 choices because no way in hell any of the others should be there.

    Really could’ve just given Mitchell an AB against a lefty instead of pinch hitting the terrible Perkins when we’re already down 6 runs

    He doesn't hit the ball hard enough to consistently hit .280. Even his expected BA last year was .255, xSLG% was .339 and xwOBA was .299. He can run and play defense. Great 4th outfielder but we're using him as a starting corner OF and that's just horrible,

    Nobody should have been expecting Frelick to repeat or even come anywhere close to what he did last year.

    He was never a starter. That was obvious last year when his fastball played up in short bullpen outings where it was below average as a starter.
