  1. No they don't. Can someone please elaborate? That would help. I did in the other thread. I'll look for it. Edit:
  2. I'm more confident than ever that we gave up too much now.
  3. If you go by wRC+ he was 59th this year, 23rd last year, 46th in 2015 and and 48th in 2014. If you go by wOBA he was 45th in 2014, 50th in 2015, 29th in 2016 and 58th in 2017. One year out of four in the top 30 and all of a sudden he's a top 30 offensive player?
  4. Big for the Badgers to split in Minnesota. Hayton needs to either play better or sit his ass on the bench although Trent Frederic is probably a huge fan because Hayton is keeping him from being the biggest disappointment on the team.
  5. I miss the WCHA. Other than Minnesota, there's no connection between the Badgers and any other B1G team.
  6. Badger women are #1, Badger men are #5 and the Admirals are the last remaining unbeaten team in the AHL.
  7. No games on Wisconsin Public Television this year. More games may be added to the TV schedule.
  8. And Ryan Johansen is out for the rest of the playoffs dashing pretty much any chance of the Preds advancing. (All the swears here)
  9. Preds!!!!!
  10. 3-1 lead and that OT was brutal. Oilers were just skating circles around them. At one point the shots were 13-2 (and it probably ended up like 15-3 or something without looking at the box score) and one of those shots was from center ice when the Sharks were gassed and needed a line change.
  11. SWEEP!
  12. GO PERDS
  13. UMD's radio announcer used to post here though it's been a long time. memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=325
  14. Playoffs again for the Admirals. Clinched last night with a Cleveland loss. Their last game went pretty well. Especially since they were down 2-0 6:41 in. Best seats in the house in my book.
  15. Badger men play for a place in the tournament tomorrow (well, I guess today) against Penn State. Winning is their only chance of getting in as those two losses to Northern Michigan and getting swept by Ohio State in the last series of the year knocked them down. Badger women play for the national title against Clarkson on Sunday at 2 pm on Big Ten Network. The Badgers beat Boston College 1-0 on a goal with 16 seconds left. Clarkson beat Minnesota 4-3 on a goal with 1:31 left.
  16. Their defense is worse than their goaltending, which makes the goaltending look worse than it is.
  17. It says it's on the Wisconsin Channel which is public television but those games haven't aired, even on tape delay in the Milwaukee area for years.
  18. Minnesota is still a heavy, heavy favorite to win the Big Ten. Wisconsin vs (6) Penn State vs (6) Penn State vs Michigan vs Michigan @ (7) Minnesota @ (7) Minnesota @ (6) Penn State @ (6) Penn State vs (11) Ohio State vs (11) Ohio State Minnesota has @ Penn State and @ Ohio State but they get Wisconsin at home and they finish the season with Michigan and Michigan State. It's been an amazing season and I'd be happy with a tournament appearance considering where Wisconsin has been the past couple of years but I'd be completely shocked if Wisconsin won the Big Ten. If we could get a bye to the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament, that would be amazing. Thank God they're moving the tournament back to campus sites in 2018. The tournament since the Big Ten started has been terrible. Especially awful in Detroit but it wasn't exactly thriving in St. Paul either.
  19. It was almost a perfect hockey night for me. Badgers beat Michigan State in OT, though they need to stop giving up these last minute game tying goals. Admirals win in Grand Rapids for the first time in over two years. The only blemish was the Predators completely dominating the Red Wings and losing 1-0.
  20. Oh what could have been. Two games is the difference between on the outside looking in and being firmly in the NCAA Tournament. http://host.madison.com/wsj/sports/college/hockey/badgers-men-s-hockey-wisconsin-puts-itself-in-position-to/article_b29999da-9dd7-5af6-a004-b7937702eb7c.html
  21. I wonder if the Badgers will ever revive that weekend tournament they played for a couple of years at the Bradley Center. I went with some friends maybe 7-8 years ago and one of the games was against North Dakota. Our seats happened to be right by a section with a few hundred North Dakota fans and me and my friends had such a good time interacting with those Dakota fans. In fact, it just may have been the most fun i ever had at any hockey game i've attended in person. For whatever reason Wisconsin stop playing that weekend tournament in Milwaukee. That tournament was started back in the late 80s when Wisconsin football was terrible and the athletic department was operating in a deficit. They decided to try out a tournament in Milwaukee as a way of boosting revenue. It worked, at least initially. Then the Badgers hired Alvarez and the team was consistently making bowl games. Instead of going to Milwaukee for the hockey tournament, fans would instead buy tickets to whichever bowl game the Badgers would be in. Attendance began to suffer in Milwaukee. The tournament eventually moved back to Madison and was killed off for good 6 years ago iirc.
  22. Badger band at the Admirals game tomorrow night. Always a great show!
