    His name isn't Claudio, it's Clordio. Ever since Ann Carroll called him Clordio last year I've called him that. Have to keep that going to keep Ann Carroll in our mind and realize how good we have it with Trenni.

    It was 4/38. It doesn't really matter what his first deal was anyways. When he signed that deal it only bought out one free agent deal.

    That's exactly right. And Kapler wouldn't be as big of a drop in offense from Braun as Counsell is from Branyan. Kapler- .304/.335/.497/.832/ AB per HR 30.17 Braun- .300/.339/586/.926/ AB per HR 15.47 Counsell .226/.321/.304/.625/AB per HR 168 Branyan .252/.340/.588/.928/AB per HR 10.92 You can't tell me that Counsell's defense is the difference between the huge gap in their offense.

    Umm, I do. The problem is this lineup just isn't going to keep winning. Counsell batting 6th is a joke.

    It's not our fault. We want the Brewers to win a lot. I don't want to go into the last week of September and not have a playoff berth wrapped up. I don't know how I would handle not making the playoffs this year if we didn't make it. Maybe I worry about this too much. You think coffee would do the trick? I'd probably run around like an idiot with all the caffeine. Anybody know somebody who has a ton of coffee and would like to share some of it? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

    I guess Branyan pissed off Ned getting on base twice on Saturday and playing good defense and then drawing a pinch hit walk yesterday.

    That was amazing. The exact quote from Alain Bernard, the anchor of the French team who swam the last leg was "The Americans? We're going to smash them. That's what we came here for." The announcers in the beginning didn't think the U.S. was going to win and the last 100m said "I just don't think they can do it." In the last 50m "U.S. trying to hang on to second. They should still get the silver medal." After the U.S. won the announcer says "Who's talking now?" Great job by all four swimmers and we have to give props to former Nicolet High School swimmer Garrett Weber-Gale. Jason Lezak's relay split was one of the most incredible things I've ever seen. One of the top Olympic moments I can remember.

    If I'm looking at Wooten's stats correctly (they haven't updated yet) he has pitched 17.2 innings, allowing only 13 H, 4 BB and 26 K's.

    Man you should've seen him on today's. He needed another guy, I didn't catch who he was or where he was from but they grilled brats, grilled onions and put them in beer. This is so new, I can't believe he's the first to come up with this!

    Gamel started the game 0-3 but has drawn two walks in his last couple at bats so that's nice to see. Lorenzo Cain is just cruising right now. 1-3 with a triple and two walks tonight. Escobar 4-5 tonight and Salome retakes the batting average lead going 3-5 with two doubles with 5 RBI's! Periard with a decent enough outing. 5 innings, 4 hits, 2 earned runs, 2 walks and 3 strikeouts. Huntsville leads 13-6. Any chance Rob Wooten gets sent to Brevard County? Two more scoreless innings for West Virginia today with 4 K's.
