  1. If they can get bridgewater that would be awesome, it’s kind of rough after that
  2. thats a good comp, but those are 7th round picks, not 5th. I personally wanted Bennett in the 6th / 7th, but Rams took in 4th.
  3. not too much of a fan of this pick. I think they still need to get a vet, so Clifford is at best a developmental 3rd stringer, with little upside. I will though go back to my statement above, its a middle of the 5th round pick and like the 12th QB off of the board.
  4. This is from my friends at Walter Football Lions acquire No. 45 (Brian Branch) from Packers for Nos. 48 (traded to Buccaneers), 159 (5th)It's odd that the Lions and Packers engaged in a trade together, but then again, Detroit made a deal with the Vikings a year ago. The Lions won that trade, and they prevailed in this one as well. They had to leap the Patriots to land Brian Branch, who easily could have been drafted in the 20s. Detroit landed a steal in Branch and only gave up a fifth-round pick to do so. The Packers can be praised for picking up an extra fifth-round selection, but they allowed their toughest competition in the division to acquire a talented player - one who will be intercepting No Cookie Jordan Love, no doubt. This is why I'm grading the Packers poorly.Grade for Lions - A+Grade for Packers - D This is what drives me nuts about all of the draft converge, the Packers clearly had Reed much higher on their draft board and got him. I wanted Branch too at 45. I just can't get too worked up about any pick, especiailly since most I really only saw a couple times play live at best.
  5. yes with the top wr’s off the board if they love one of the wr’s I could see it. I think one of the top 3 will be sitting at 42 though so it’s not necessary
  6. I’m not advocating it but we are at the point packers could trace 42 and. 45 to move back in the first and get their wr.
  7. Not my first chose. I would have preferred jsn, Gonzalez, or Nolan smith. I’m good with it rhiufh
  8. Best I could find. https://www.packersnews.com/story/sports/nfl/packers/2023/04/24/heres-all-you-need-to-know-about-the-aaron-rodgers-trade-to-the-jets/69924094007/ in short, some cap relief in 2023 (~15.8MM), but in 2024 they are free and clear.
  9. I think there could a possibility of the packers moving down at 13 as well, especially if one of 4 QB's fall down that low and a team in the late teens, early 20's really wants one, which could nab a 2024 1st (similar to the Fields trade)
  10. I 100% agree that they will use those (2) 2nds they have this year to try to get back in the 1st round.
  11. Obviously its hard to grade the trade without knowing the 2024 compensation, but assuming that Rodgers plays 65% of the plays and the Jets have a good season, the total package is akin to a 1st in the high teens. If they still get a 2nd, then its more or a late 1st, which I think is fair.
  12. I think they need to get a vet now that their QB situation is resolved. i would hope that they let Love sink or swim and use their picks to give him as many weapon as possible.
  13. the odd thing thing is that if the A's move next season, they would need the minor league stadium, thus it would be hard to have 2 tenants (not impossible) in the same season. Basically anytime the A's were on the road, he aviators would be at home.
  14. Yes but during the summer how many people are in the LV metroplex compared to the Twin Cities. I am sure they are figuring the road team will bring fans in for a weekend of gambling and baseball.
  15. I don’t think he will be around at 78 and I could see the packers taking him with a 2nd. With Rodgers gone I don’t see how they don’t keep 3 qb’s on the roster anyway ( one vet and one rookie)
  16. Yes I’d prefer a vet to be the backup. There are still options out there. To have a 1st starter and a rookie as your qb room is tough
  17. Yes, especially with the (so far) reluctance to sign a back-up.
  18. I agree that they will draft a QB. I know Bennett has a lot of baggage but maybe GB is the perfect place for him to take a 7th round chance on.
  19. @LouisElyThank you! Another great write up. Washington is my favorite player in the draft, @MVP2110 Thank you as well, you obviously put a lot of time and effort into those rankings. Well done!
  20. seems like a 30 for 30 short?
  21. taller guy, needs some development, seems familiar......Christian Watson comp?
  22. RE: JSN Saw this over the weekend, https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10071587-report-zay-flowers-stock-surging-could-be-1st-wr-selected-in-2023-nfl-draft. I understand that you can't believe anything that is said between now and the draft, but it is an interesting note. I think JSN would be an excellent choice at 15, As would Johnson, Mayer, or Kincaid. If they are giving the keys to the kingdom to love, they got to get him some help.
  23. Packers are kind of being held hostage until the Rodgers trade is complete. Really only signed ST Free Agents to date.
  24. I think you should be able to get a top 50 and top 100 prospect for Burnes. I threw in Kumar. Even if they just got Jung and Leiter, Id be happy. Settles the 3rd base issue and gives them a starter. Maybe thats asking too much, idk.
  25. saw the Rangers may be interested. Josh Jung / Jack Leiter / Kumar Rocker
