Pujols has torn elbow ligament

Why doesn't he just bite the bullet and get TJ? Frankly, the Cards won't compete this year. There's really no reason for him to try to eek out another season with a bum elbow right now. He should get it done, and get strong for perhaps next year.

He really should. Carpenter isnt going to be 100% this year and the Cards are in rebuild mode. He isnt going to play like this the rest of his career, so bite the bullet and get it done.

It seems like the Cardinals Doctor makes some questionable medical decisions. Oh! You haven't fully ruined your elbow yet, so wait until that happens and then get it fixed.

I'd send Pujols for surgery, and make certain Rasmus doesn't burn a full year this year - that team will not compete, and could actually finish in last place.

I have a feeling he'll opt for surgery sometime mid-season. 162 games is a long, long time when you're only hope is on the bench.

If I had Braun's pee in my fridge I'd tell everybody.

What is the draw of the Cardinals this year without Pujols? The team isn't going to be competative and if they lose their star player I really wouldn't see much reason to go.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

I guess that makes the decision to designate Pujols or Hanley Ramirez a fantasy baseball keeper much easier.

Man he has all sorts of stuff in there. Torn ligaments, bone spurs, arthritis... Yikes. Can't imagine how you can swing a bat with that.

I'm guessing he'll play until he sees they are out of it and get surgery at some point in the second half of the season.
