Haha...no wonder JP and Ueck couldn't say what was on his shirt on the radio. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif

Edit: For those wondering, Doumit hit a HR to dead center, Hall climbed the wall thinking he had a shot at it, and when he came down, Ueck said he landed almost on his heel and looked like he rolled an ankle. Hall was able to stand up himself but needed help walking off the field. Ueck said Hall's right shoe was open, which probably means it's starting to swell already. Doesn't sound good...hopefully it's just a sprain and not a break.

Ok, so I'm at work and people are saying that Billy got hurt. Then someone says . . .

Come on Billy.....

Makes me feel like he's laying in center field on the brink of death and people trying to get him to pull through.

Can someone explain what happened?

Hall jumped for the homerun ball and came down on his foot funny and it looked like he rolled his ankle. I've seen the injury alot in the NBA, when people come down awkwardly after a rebound or something like that.

Watching him walk off on MLB TV, it doesn't look all that terrible. But, of course, you never know with tendons and stuff like that. I hate, hate, hate Pittsburgh. Yuck.

ankle/foot injury. Could just be a sprain (misses the Nationals series and comes back after AS break, or could be a lot worse. Lets hope he just misses the weekend.

Hall tried using the wall to get a bit higher to catch the HR that was hit, once he didn't catch the ball he realized he was about 6 feet off the ground - he landed very hard on the ground, seemingly jamming his right leg into the ground - he was able to put some weight on his leg walking off the field, but he had a trainer on either side of him helping him off.

best case scenario, he jammed his ankle and has a mild sprain - worst case is that he did something to his knee. it did appear that the trainers were looking at only his ankle though

With the All-Star break coming up, I would doubt a trip to the DL would be necessary. If he needs a few days off, Gross just starts in center....no need to bring up Gwynn if it's just an ankle sprain, let's hope anyways.

Mench moves to right, Jenkins subbed in for Hall and moves to left, Hart into center for those wondering what the OF looks like now.

If he's on his way to the DL is Gwynn the everyday CF?

and I thought this day was off to a bad start...

Btw... they brought Jenkins into left, moved mench to right, and put Hart in center. first time for corey in center this year i believe.

Having had first hand knowledge of ankle sprains, I wouldn't get too worked up if it starts to swell up. That's happened to me several times, and I was back playing full tilt basketball within a week.

With the All Star break coming, I wouldn't be so sure they DL him.

But I'm sure they'll X-Ray and MRI it to check the severity.

This injury doesn't sound overly serious, but we all remember what happened to J.J. last season. Hopefully our luck this season is brighter.
