Two year old boy struck by car.

Not sure how many of you caught this news story this morning. It's a tragic story and hopefully he will recover from the injuries he sustained. However, I can't help but wonder what a 2 year old boy is doing out at 10:45 at night chasing balloons/balls in the street.

From the way the article is worded, it sounds like the driver was at no fault.

 

I also agree..what is a little kid like that doing up that late, and outdoors, even?

On my way home last night at 10:30, there were 4 boys likely aged between 7 and 10 waiting for a bus near a major intersection here in Madison. All I could think is why are these kids out here waiting for a bus at this time of night?

On my street, kids play in the pitch dark 'til 10:30 in the Summer. It is a cul-de-sac, but we hear the yelling and just shake our heads.

We used to play till nightime when we were 7-10, but I am not sure about a 2 year old on their own in the middle of the street. I hope for the child and the driver's sake that there is a full recovery.

Yeah, I question what the parents are thinking letting their two year old not only staying up that late but being outside. I was like 13 years old before I even got to stay up until 11 at night.
