Hardwood floor re-finishing HELP!

SO my wife convinced me to rip up the carpet and mat in the living room last night, not knowing what shape we'd find the floors underneath in. They turned

out to be in good shape, but I still think they could use some refinishing. I'd like them to match the hallway and bedrooms. Where should I go to get

them redone? I don't trust myself for the job, so I won't go that route. Had 1 guy come over tonight and wanted 500 bucks, which I thnk is way too

much for a 11 x 15 foot rooom. Thanks for the help!

Yeah, $500 isn't bad at all for re-finishing a floor of that size. And matching color/quality of an existing wood grain/treatment is no easy task.

It's freaking expensive to get hardwood floor refinishing done right. Just be sure that you're at least getting professional sanding, staining & sealing/varnishing. Pricey, but when done right, totally worth the investment.

Don't stop looking around though. If you have a hardware store in town that you trust, go in & ask for recommendations and/or advice. Ace is the place! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
