we have enough pitchers and players to throw in there where we don't have to hope soup can make it though an inning...he shouldn't have started this inning.

There needs to be a Rickie Weeks "spin the wheel of fail" to figure out what bad thing he'll do in every game. That would definitely be on there.

I don't get the thinking that you have to throw soup out there and not burn up a pitcher because he is due up the next inning...Expanded rosters give you options to use another pitcher for an inning and then take him out for a pinch hitter

I'm sensing a 'Boom goes the dynamite' moment in our near future.

On a positive note, this board is so much more fun to read in times of angst. Therapeutic even.

unreal.

Why Suppan started this inning, I'll never know, but now that you've given up on trying to win, keep him in and at least save the bullpen here!

Why you bring in Mota AFTER all that makes no sense, but I must remember who we're dealing with here.

Why Suppan even started the 6th inning puzzles me. Why he was allowed to give up a run and then leave the bases loaded perplexes me. Why Ned Yost has one of the only 32 major league managing jobs in the whole world leaves me flabbergasted.

Probably because you can count the number of good managers out there on one hand.

Suppan hasn't pitched well, but in his defense, Weeks error was a killer, it's a DP if Rickie doesn't OLE the ball into right field

I'd hardly call that a killer, without the error, it's still 4-1 and an offense that defines clutchiness.
