Potential weekend fans beware......Hotels in Detroit are really expensive this weekend and require a 48 hour cancellation notice. Not very fan friendly, but I guess I understand. Green Bay is very similar during Packer season, except they require you to book 2 nights minimum for Packer home weekends.

Listening to the Admirals game. They had Predators Assistant GM Paul Fenton on during the second intermission. They were talking about the development of some players and then went on to talk about Geoffrion and a little of Craig Smith. Aaron Sims mentioned that he had Brian Posick on the other day and that Geoffrion was getting the most buzz of all the Hobey Baker finalists.

Yep. I fished out my 1990 championship pin (my sister went as a member of the band) to wear to work tomorrow and as a nice bonus found a little generic Bucky pin I'd forgotten I had. Let's go, Badgers!

Pretty nervous about this game. Our weakness is goaltending so we need to score at least a few. The problem is Jared DiMichiel has a .924 save percentage and a 1.98 GAA.

Yea i'm nervous also. Just really gotta avoid turnovers at the blue line where RIT can get odd man rushes out of it which they've thrived on.

I've always like Gary Thorne as a hockey announcer but he's irritating me a bit so far. Mispronouncing names (Ben Grotten, Craig Murphy) and his calling the Badgers on the power play a good 20-30 seconds after they power play ended.

How does one mispronounce Craig Murphy? I don't have access to audio/video so I didn't hear that for myself.

Yeah that was it, sorry. I think he was talking about Craig Smith right when I was typing that so I said Craig instead of Jordy.

 

This game is getting ugly. 6-0 now. Hopefully RIT doesn't resort to taking cheap shots at Badger players and injuring someone. I'd almost consider putting Brett Bennett in for the third period.

It really should have been 7 goals. The linesman missed an easy offsides call that led to the 8th goal.

Awesome performance......they took RIT out early and poured it on. Unbeatable when they play that way.
